See? HLP actually does admittedly have some cool cosplays for it. I should have posted some of them to Impulse on my post. I'd go looking for them but I'm just not willing to go wading through 5983793 images of watermelons getting defiled again

What animes have you seen? What animes/genres do you like?
I guess a better question would be, what animes I haven't seen yet. Unless you want me to bore you with all the lists I have seen since Doraemon all the way to today timeline. Most of the new animes that were released like Fate Zero, Sword Art Online, or Attack on Titans or the one that are were really recent and only available to Japan I haven't had the pleasure of watching it.
My favorite genres? I guess I like fantasy, science fiction, comedy, or just plain emotional like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fate Stay Night, Pani Poni Dash, Luck Stars, and Death Note. Mind you, I do prefer watching anime more than I do with Western Cartoons. If I haven't seen it yet, chances are I've definitely heard about it.
Battlelog Community?
You'd be the third member that have jumped ship from that place here.
What, is someone promoting this thread there or something!
Well I certainly don't recall any promotion going on while I was over there. I can't speak for any other members on their reasons for joining, but I guess for lack of better words, my old community didn't suit me well and I want to give another forum an opportunity.
Also I'm a girl, so you don't have to worry about categorizing me as a he / she. ![]()

Once upon a time, however, sanity loses its charm after a while.
Thank you. I admittedly haven't watched a whole lot yet. As my avatar might suggest, I am partial to Cowboy Bebop. I also enjoy Kill La Kill, Genshiken, Steins; Gate, Bakuman, and Death Note. I am always open to suggestions of course! I am quite partial to original settings, as well as some contemporary ones (I have an affinity for university settings, although anime seems to be quite sparse in such settings).
Then you'll fit in here rather nicely I think. Welcome to our little corner of the BSN or whatever they call it nowadays

Now I'm done translating, which leaves only the editing and proofreading.

Hah!
Some other loser apart from me who watched/reads Genshiken!
I think it vastly underrated! A manga/anime which is largely a parody of its own target audience is quite genius if bold. However, I think I might just be the only person to refer to Genshiken as such. :')

For once I'm innocent! I swear!
Ok, I believe in you.
I mean, people wouldn't lie on the internet.

Can't speak for any anime set in university, but I'd suggest Hunter x Hunter 2011 (we already have a few guys watching it currently, which is great) and Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
They are rather long (100+ both) so that might be a bit of a challenge, so for shorter anime go for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex or Psycho Pass, both are one of my favorites. Or if you are in the mood for comedy, watch D-Frag. More people need to see it. It is in a high school setting though, but quite funny (if the humor is up your alley).

Thank you kindly! I still refer to it as the BSN, although it has been a while since I was a frequent member of the BSN.

Nah, that promotion thing was me being half serious (though it would have been entertaining if true).
Well nice to see a fellow Fate fan. The thread is packed with people who are familiar with the medium. Pray tell, did you watch Ufotable's UBW and have you read the VN?

Thanks. I think I will start with Ghost in the Shell, as I have enjoyed the films. Some friends of mine who are also into anime have said to me repeatedly to get around to watching the series, so I guess it's time I did.

I'd strongly recommend both. I'd go into more detail about them but I'm at work
Other personal favorites include: Kaiba, Utena, Chihayafuru, Baccano, Welcome to the NHK, Princess Tutu, Kill La Kill, JoJos Bizarre Adventures, Berserk (but only the manga), Watamote and Legend of the Galactic Heroes (I'm not done this one yet completely myself though)

Nothing will ever beat the 2000 Monkey D Luffies you will find at any Con xD

Hey! Are you reading the Nidame manga?
I hope you are.
I have nobody else to talk with about it.
Sold. Where did you learn such masterful arts of persuasion?

Sadly no, I'm not really that familiar with the Fate's universe or the lore. I've already seen Fate Stay Night and planning on watching Fate Zero next.

Those along with the other two I mentioned are most of my personal favorites so I'd recommend them all, of course part of it depends on what your tastes are too. But yeah definitely check out PMMM and SSY if you get a chance.
