I suppose if he impressed you then I'll give it a chance.
Essentially it depends on what you personally expect him to do as a character for you. Certain traits and aspects that I wanted him to harbour, ended up being traits that Pitou had. It wasn't until the arc came to a close, and the entirety of its causes and aspects that it took up were reflected through King and ultimately what he brought to the table, that I appreciated him as an antagonist and character.
So it depends on your mindset. But finish the arc and we can talk more in detail.
Ok. I think I finished Part 1. Or whatever Jonathon Joestars story is called.
This is an odd show. But I'll keep at it.
Part 1 is called Phantom Blood.
Part 2 is called Battle Tendency.
Hope you like it and the villains of the part. The anime brought attention back to them but they are still pretty underrated next to other JoJo villains.
Think I'm gonna watch the one with the Nihilist that bro made a long post about.
Dunno what to do really.
TW3's been my stuff for weeks xD
And I have decided to rewatch Jojo.
Since you seem to be in between stuff, maybe I'll throw a suggestion your way. Though chances are you've already watched it, since it's such a classic.
The Mysterious Cities of Gold. The one from the 80s, not the recent sequel.
As far as nailing the feeling of adventure goes, no other show I've seen manages it as well as this one. Parts of it have aged rather poorly however. Voice acting is weak (The standards back then weren't quite as high as today) and most of the characters aren't very interesting. Though Tao and Mendoza still hold up well IMO.
Set during the 16th century, most the story takes place in south America and is mostly about the search for the cities of gold, remnants of an ancient and advanced civilization. It actually has quite a few sci-fi elements, especially towards the end.
It's one of my favorites, personally. Though, as I said before in this thread, I grew up with this show, and my opinion of it is pretty much 100% nostalgia fueled. I sincerely doubt it would end up being a favorite of someone who watches it for the first time today. I still think they'd enjoy though. It really is a classic.
Finished JoJo Episode 1... They really do have a knack for Art Style, I'll give them that. The Introductory scene has the calming contrast of blues and purples. Smart of them to have quick origins for both characters and having them indirectly linked to each other.
Dammit Sim stop making me want to watch the stuff I didn't know I wanted to watch
