Sure. But it lacks good characterization, meaningful plots and themes and is filled with the worst anime tropes designed to pander to horny teenagers (no offense)

Sure it can be entertaining. But what you need are stories that truly make you think and can make you even grow as a person well still being entertaining.

Sure it can be entertaining. But what you need are stories that truly make you think and can make you even grow as a person well still being entertaining.

Not always, but I can't say much since the only harems I so far I truly liked are Date a live and HLP (Both have good characters and such) but it was something different from say, Mobile Suit Gundam (Which is war and politics), different from what I'm used to basically. I'd have to watch more ecchi/harems to grasp a better understanding of the genre. I'm someone who likes crude humor and such so yeah... 

 

But I also like good plots and characters. Taking a few steps back from the ecchi harem genre I'm going back to where I feel the most home at, shows like Fate/Zero and Gundam. I'm trying to watch Gundam after war and need to get around to Gundam wing and 8th MS team and war in the pocket, along with a couple others.  (Believe it or not I haven't watched all the Gundam series).
