No on Naruto unless they buy the rights, thats on Disney X D actully, well it was dunno about now. And if he's been there still he must have been sidelined. Or nothing important.

Disney XD lost the rights to Naruto, thats why I am wondering if they will buy it back.
As for Jason he was doing the same thing he always did, being a creative director(Toonami/Miguzi), advertisement stuff, music stuff. Just look at the link I gave to see what work he did with Cartoon Network.
Yeah but he wasn't attached to AS in that reguard. There marketing acting down right rude to fans for years now. Just total duche bags.
As to Naruto hmm, couldn't say I know I stoped watching it. I just can't tolerate the English dub.
"BELEIVE IT!"
On that same note if they air only anime dubbed over by 4Kids and to a lesser extent funimation, I'ld rather it never came back. I mean I got nothing against dubbing, just against bad low budget ones lulz.
Too bad ADV and genome both went under in that reguard.

The Naruto dub got rid of the "beleive it" line.
They will air only dub anime like they always have.
4Kids has no new shoes to dub, It's not like CN will have them put on anyway. They will have Funimation and Viz dubs, I am sure on that, their dubs are not low budget.
If they did it took them long enough. And I really could care less, I watched it subed for years. Just don't care much to watch it now.
And no duh on that. Most people don't care to read it seems. Thats predictable and expected.
Let me correct my stance.
****ty VA's most of those hire. Course thats a matter of taste, but the ones I mentioned always had far better and not low budget VA's. As to what 4kids had or doesn't once more I don't care. I've spent the last several years watching purely fan subs.
As an Edit I have seen a large number of anime series, movies, and OAV's. The last Dub I watched was Code Geass and Monster a couple years ago, so far I largely watch Fansubs as most of whats on now I either seen back in the late 90's early 2000's. Or its newer shows I just don't care to see. So I haven't paid any attention to any of main anime importers/dubbers in at least three years. They have had much of anything on TV I care in the least to see, and more of the better shows have over inflated price tags that I refuse to buy when you rarely see them in stores nowdays.
Mind you I'm not a pirate, I just a couple months back bought the whole robotech collection for 40 bucks. I just like value for my dollar. And a good number of retailer prices are just thievery.
I'm currently rewatching Pokemon from the very beginning and I just have to say...
My God the original dubbing was leagues better then I thought it was in comparison to the new dubbing. The new dubbing done in the Best Wishes series sounds so forced a lot of the time.
I mean I knew it was better. But going back and watching it made me think "****... this is better then I originally thought". Sure, some of 4Kids' dubbed shows were bad -- like the One Piece clip linked on page 27 -- but Pokemon was one of the ones they got right, IMO.
Shame 4Kids stopped doing the English version.
Pokemon's 4Kids english dub was one of the best ever. Or at least one of the best for its time.
That's not to say that the new series is horrible. Less then stellar is what I'd call it, though I do love how Team Rocket -- the organization, not just Jessie, James, and Meowth -- have a more prominent role in the show now. Especially Giovanni.

Oh god no. Why did I have to insist on going to every single showing in this japanese animation film festival?
I have ignored Appleseed for years now, and I couldn't think of why, today. Now I remember, and altogether too well. It was...
1.) because it's produced by John Woo, which is a fatal sign,
2.) because 3D modelling sucks, and
3.) because THE WHOLE MOVIE SUCKS.
Seriously, it was one of the dumbest movies I've seen in a while.
I cannot grasp how anybody would be able to cope with watching such brain-dead characters and worlds.

The voice acting may have been somewhat better with 4Kids, but it was in no way a better dub or even a good dub.
When you got them making characters into stereotypes, like James being gay for some reason or Meowth being jewish for some reason. Or just characters being out of character like 4Kids shipping Misty with Ash, and again James and Meowth's characters. And then you have the odd edits.
4Kids really did think kids were stupid.
And then you got these gems.
I mean, Pokémon is not that hard to mess up but somehow 4Kids did mess it up.
The voice acting may have been somewhat better with 4Kids, but it was in no way a better dub or even a good dub.
For its day it was, barring a few mistakes here and there. And for me, it is one of the best dubs.
And really, little mistakes tend to slip through in anime. Be they dubbing mistakes, animation mistakes, or whatnot. It's bad, but it happens. I'm even fairly certain that the original non-dubbed versions have their share of mistakes.

I never got a gay vibe from James, honestly. Dorky certainly, but not gay.
Well, not until the new series gave him a new VA. Then it seemed like they were deliberately trying to make him sound gay.
LOL at Jewish Meowth.
Oh and really, who didn't ship Ash and Misty together? I mean come on, everyone I've talked to -- both dub fans and original fans -- always shipped them together.

I wouldn't say that 4kids thought kids were stupid, necessarily. Most of the time, American censors -- and sometimes other international censors -- prohibit the display of more mature themes in these shows so the dubbers are forced to either edit it to something more kid-friendly or not show it at all.
This doesn't apply to all of the edits, but some -- like the pointing of guns at Ash by the Safari Warden Kaiser or that skull+crossbones maybe -- are examples of this.
It's funny really. Pokemon has had more mature themes in it since the very beginning (near death experiences, theft, torture, death, etc) so there's really no reason for the censors to get all upset. The discerning eye can notice these things.
In the first movie alone, you had death and threats of massive world destruction. In the Diamond and Pearl series -- which happened after 4Kids stopped I know -- Pokemon Hunter J and her crew are thought to have died.
Personally, I think she's still kicking but for now, people are led to believe she's dead.
I think the new series is trying to get away from the "lack of mature themes" attempt now, which is good.
Oh god I remember that. That was bad. I just rationalize it to be that she nicknamed her Growlithe "Arcanine".
Would it be weird? Yea, but at least it'd make a modicum of sense.
That's bad too. This really wouldn't be such a problem though if they didn't feel the need to fill every episode with "Ash's Pokemon is weak to this but strong against this!"
I mean really, anyone that calls themselves a Pokemon fan should already know that, so I just find the pointless attempts at "enlightening" people to the workings of the Pokemon universe to be cheap, nonsensical, and useless filler.
Don't know why, but I get a Speed Racer vibe anytime they do that.
It's even worse now that Ash acts like a rookie, when even in the very beginning he at least had a grasp on some of the core fundamentals. Not all -- I mean, he was still inexperienced and an idiot at times -- but he at least knew some things.
Despite how the music was changed to be more happy in the dub, I still felt incredibly sad when they parted. I even shed tears when it happened the first time I saw it.
Obviously the change in music wasn't needed, but it didn't hinder my feelings on the matter.
But I did laugh now when Brock said it must be the onions. Mmmm.... onion-filled donuts. Though considering onigiri can be filled with onions sometimes, it seems that they rectified their donut incident.
Side note: I miss Brock. Brock was 100x better then Cilan ever will be. Mostly because when Cilan goes into his food talking mode, I want to pull out my hair.
I'd prefer it if Cilan talked more like Sanji in regards to food-related phrasing. Sanji -- in the dub -- said that he'd make a filet out of someone (can't remember who. Either a Krieg pirate or a fellow cook).
That was awesome. Food related talk like that is awesome. Of course, you'd also need the persona to pull it off, something I doubt Cilan has.
But I wil take whatever they did to the show over what they did to the first movie.
Hey, there was nothing wrong with the first movie. I mean, they did cut out the Mewtwo origin segment which, to some, may be required to understand him a bit better.
But otherwise I didn't see much wrong with it, aside from Ash's turning to stone when he died.
Of course, I'm a dub person. I prefer dubs over subs, because I never know what's being said in the original versions.
The 4Kids VA of James said he thought James was gay, so he gave him a gay voice. The Pokémon USA dub James does not come off as gay as 4Kids James.
And yeah they did think kids were stupid. Just look at the pic again where they got rid of the word "closed". Also them thinking kids in the west have no clue what rice is.
Cilan's character could be worse, it could be Tracey.
As for not knowing what they say in Japanese, you do know what the subs are for right?
But anyway Rica Matsumoto is still the best Ash and she still sings the Pokémon theme song better than anyone.
The 4Kids VA of James said he thought James was gay, so he gave him a gay voice. The Pokémon USA dub James does not come off as gay as 4Kids James.
he just never really gave off a gay vibe to me until the Pokemon USA dub version.
And yeah they did think kids were stupid. Just look at the pic again where they got rid of the word "closed". Also them thinking kids in the west have no clue what rice is.
Like I said before, it doesn't apply to all edits, but some of the more mature-oriented ones.
Cilan's character could be worse, it could be Tracey.
I enjoyed Tracey actually.
As for not knowing what they say in Japanese, you do know what the subs are for right?
Yea, but I'd prefer to pay attention to the scenes rather then read what's at the bottom just to understand it. That's why dubs are preferred for me. I can focus my attention on what's going on rather then read what's at the bottom of the screen and miss all the action.
Reading at the cost of the action isn't a good tradeoff for me.
I really want to go to Japan though and see the Pokemon Center that's there.

Nope 4Kids James is still more gay.
Real classy on 4Kids and Eric Stuart's part.
I like dubs too but I will ever get how people can't pay attention to the scenes with subs. More so with a show as simple as Pokémon.
Wow it's been a long time since I saw that cheesy moment. Good cheesy, mind you.
He definitely has his moments.
Related: The aforementioned episode that got banned -- the one with Ash meeting Kaiser the Safari Warden and catching 30 Tauros -- was banned for its showcasing of firearms.
Interestingly enough, episode 12 of the series -- the one with the Squirtle Squad -- also had firearms wielded by the citizenry yet wasn't banned.

So the new shows Toonami will have are Deadman Woderland and Casshern Sins. The old shows will just be AS anime, such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Ghost in the Shell and Bleach(meh).
They don't have the cash yet to have Sara back on with Tom. On that note Steven Blum came back to voice Tom out of love for Tom and Toonami aww.
They can't get Peter Cullen back since he is busy with Transformers and Eeyore and doesn’t do many promos.
Watched 3 eps of Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto just now - and it's wonderful.
Just the type of anime I prefer - and it has the sort of unfolding premise and characterization that I enjoy (e.g. you don't know who the main character is, it rather gives bits and pieces of info along episodes - this goes for all else as well).
Last night Toonami was on and man was it nice to have it back for real. Bleach was a stupid filler that was still better than it's canon story. Deadman Wonderland was a lot better than I remembered. maybe it was the dub or something. Casshern Sins was always underrated so I do hope it gets popular here thanks to Toonami.
You know the Yu-Gi-Oh! series stop being good the moment the very first manga stop being a "Saw-like" magic game of life or death, and became a "BUY CARDS" series.
But even so I will say this theme they had was really good, if only because they got Masaaki Endoh to sing it.
Meaning, take the movie (1995) first, then SAC, and then the rest. The first movie is the best anyway (in my opinion).
Though it does tell a stand-alone story and the other installments have been more like prequels, it will give the exact right "taste" for the franchise - quite perfect for a start-off.
I saw you commenting on Hinata from Angel Beats!. What do you think about the series?
(personally I much prefer the pure Maeda Jun flicks, like Kanon and Clannad)
