I probably am underestimating Bills power, but we'll never know Broly's true potential because they decided to make him insane, kill him, and then try to play it off as Goku as the Legendary Super Sayian.

And the brink of death part is another reason why I didn't like Broly: Second Coming because he was in a coma for 7 YEARS which counts as the brink of death. Do you know how powerful he should've been at that point, and then he dies in the weakest way possible (not the sun part)

Was time ever a deciding factor in the Saiyans' whole brink of death thing though? I can't recall so I don't think Broly being out cold should provide some exponential power increase beyond what's normal.AresKeith wrote...

I don't think they really touched on it that much, because I assume it's based on how bad it is and a coma for 7 years is really bad
Though I could be wrong

Nothing wrong there, there is no real plot, only character progression along something "like a plot". That is what most people don't get. If you're looking for coherent story, Ergo Proxy is not for you.
If you like character progression and fiddling through your own confusion to find out exactly how they progress and what triggered it, then Ergo Proxy will be great.

I thought Ergo Proxy was okay, though I get the sense that it's a series I need to watch twice to really appreciate. Kind of like a well written book.

But I do remember seeing a Broly cameo in Fusion Reborn
