It's pretty decent. One thing that was sort of cool about it is it has a ton of short stories in it about the immortals written from different writers and some of them get really emotional. It's been a while but at least one made me cry (but you know I get emotional easily)

It's ok but rarely impressed me. It did a few things right but a lot wrong. It's worth playing but it always had this feeling about it that I could never shake off.

Yeah, I sort of get what Liam's saying about this feeling he couldn't shake with it. It didn't quite hit the same notes as like FF9. It's decent but not amazing. The short stories were honestly my favorite part of it.

They gave Itami the same VA as mother fukin Archer from FSN  . I'm actually alright with that but jeez everytime he goes otaku mode I can't help but be amused.

 

Anyway it looks like they're adapting the Gate LN and not the manga since they expanded some scenes which is something I actually like. It was a great first episode and I can't wait to see how they're going to handle some of the other scenes. Itami was pretty badass this episode considering the situation he was put in.

 

Can't wait for next week.
