They are so going to cut the mopu tofu scene, I just know it.
That would be an outrage

So all done with Idolm@ster and it ended up being a bit better than imagined. The purpose I had for it was to end my day on a good note everytime I watched it and that it did manage all the way. It ended up doing a bit better due to some great episodes and at least 2 really solid arcs. Did mention yesterday that the show do suffer from one jarring antagonist that got way too much screentime but there were enough good moments to make it bearable to have him take up all that time but it would've been preferable if he had gotten far less time. The show is energetic, music is invigorating and the characters that are the by far most important part of the show are fun to watch. So many girls that it took 3/4s of the show for me to be able to pick a favorite, which ended up being Haruka. I just loved her energy but also how she held the group together as much as she did. They wouldn't be able to do much without her.
So if you want a show that end your day on a good note then go ahead! It's not going to blow your mind with innovative concepts or the like. It doesn't try to either. It's a show that know what it want and for the most part work towards that goal.

At some point I will, when I got enough time that I wont be disturbed
It's 2 hours. So that's a good idea.

So best manga Naruto ended, again. Nice to see Karin looking like some kind of rocker chick. It works. And Sasuke actually caring for his family. Sarada had some good development while Chouchou is like Sakura 2.0 in uselessness and straight up terrible as comic relief because asking someone if they're your father is only funny so many times. Then it's just annoying. Naruto still has that Talk no Jutsu down pat and put it to good use. Sucks to see him be like a shell of his former self but I guess that's what happens when you settle down, have kids, and stop fighting for a while.

Right? You are the worst. Because you are still playing Soul Calibur. And not Persona.

Liked the "Bomber" bit and a few others. Finally got time for one big marathon tonight. If I can get to episode 100 by morning, switching the avatar to something appropriate.
So, just watched the first episode of Gate ... not impressed at all, if not outright disappointed. The blatant absence of violence when the Empire stakes its claim in the Ginza incident doesn't bode well for the future handling of such aspects. The Ginza incident was a veritable onesided slaughter, primarily perpetuated by humans from the other world. But in the anime, it's almost entirely offscreen and if shown then done by unmistakingly otherworldly creatures, hell the few Empire humans with any remote screen presence are arguably depicted as rather friendly all things considered, as if to give the impression the violence was something done by those ogres, goblins, whatever. This couldn't be further from the truth.
Also, the police's struggle against the organized Empire vanguard is entirely skipped straight to an equally clinical depiction of the JSDF dispatching the Empire's forces ... what? If the anime wanted to start with a big crunch, make it a double episode and end with the Allied Kingdoms' Forces trying to retake the Gate from the dug-in JSDF.
Looks like a halfassed attempt to get a lower PG rating (or equivalent) ... I don't see how they could hope to properly convey later issues from the source material, like the deserters going about rape and pillaging (including Rory's character establishment), the traumatizing attack of the ancient firedragon on the Elf village (Tuka didn't get that PTSD for no reason), the Empire (and particularily Zorcal's) handling of slaves ...
The episode wasn't nearly enjoyable enough on its own merits like you could say F/SN UBW was, so staying true to the source material is the only way to distinguish itself, but I didn't see that happen at all.
This show better do a serious one-eighty!
0/10, would not bang, would throw out the airlock if episode #2 doesn't pick up the slack.

For now I'll just assume that they're making an adaptation from the LN and not from the manga and that's probably why there are some differences here and there.
Yeah my biggest issue is that they might censor the sh*t or outright skip out some parts.
I mean, we didn't even see any blood besides that one guy Itami killed and some civilians that got attacked and considering the brutal stuff they're goin to have to show off later showing blood should be the least of the studio's problems...
