I find most dubs in anime work more when it's normally set outside Japan or has alot of non-Japanese characters(Black Lagoon, FMA:B and Baccano). It's not a rule of course, DRRR, Persona 3 and 4 have good dubs and are set in Japan after all.

 

 

Black Lagoon dub even gets bonus points for using real Japanese in the last arc too.

 

But then you have stuff like AOT's dub which has a European setting but sucks ass. Well ok it's pretty much just the protagonist but still.

No Sora no otoshimono. The fanservice is just too much and too creepy for me. And this is from someone who likes Senran Kagura.

AoT really suffers from a changed script, butchered OP and Bryce. Had those three been changed it would be much better.

It's mostly just due to the protagonist being a lecherous creep. Using his new found power to grope random women and **** like that. Senran Kagura works due to it being all girls so it doesn't have a creepy rapey vibe to it.

But they chose Bryce.

 

And Armin sounds just like some parody versions of him which is both bad and good.

I've been the Reezus I said I am long before PMMM entered my domain. I'll watch PMMM when... I don't know. But I do know one thing though. Anime, they come, they go. Saturday through Sunday, Monday. Bryce only gets these jobs because of his father and he's cheap as hell. If he didn't have the Papenbrook name he would not be hired as much as he has.

He's is brilliant at side characters. Like really really good. In many cases I can't even tell it's him. He's awful at protagonist in some cases even butchering the character.

Although pervy MC's can be done well. Agure Yuusha's MC was better than the whole damn cast.
