And Nausicaa has a box set which is a big plus imo.   

Yeah it's one of my favorite things I own.

I don't know that I would be that interested in comics tbh.

It's basically the same thing. Really. Just alot more spread out than Manga is.

 

It's a good time too, since DC and Marvel are coming out with a bunch of #1s, DC is also doing some new stuff with the main 3 (Commissioner Gordon is Batman right now for example) so that's worth some consideration.

 

And Marvel is rebranding from Marvel NOW! to All New, All Different Marvel. Bunch of cool stuff coming out of that.

 

And there's always IDW, Dark Horse, BoomCo, and a bunch of other publishers and Indies.

 

Just something to consider.

To be honest starting out I would prefer to read a physical version so that's why I bought them. Plus its not like I am going in blind having watched the anime. 

 

Fair enough then.

 

If you like Berserk then I'd recommend Vagabond too.

 

They're nothing alike in genre or tone.

 

But they both tell very good and very human stories.

Netero Versus Meruem/King:

Most character deaths portrayed in TV/Movies tend to be either dramatically falling down a hole, spouting their love for Provolone Cheese before kicking the bucket, or that sort of thing. Netero goes out like a boss with a clever play that both King and the audience weren't counting on.

its pretty cool. If u like SNK-style animes mixed with the military genre, I say go for it. It has magical girls, swords, shields, dragons, all crashing helplessly against modern weaponry.

youre right it could totally become another Fate/stay UBW. Give it a chance though, it might be something good. At the least, its a nice show to watch if you got nothing better to do.

its like thatother anime where the otaku kid gets recruited by the japanese government to spread otaku culture to the fantasy kingdom through a portal. Except more serious and you have a soldier as the main character. If you liked that anime give GATE a try.
