I mean what I learned so far today is that I just can't get over the character design in Gangster, so I will dismiss all it might have to offer.

Actually I kind of agree with this. LOL. If you don't like something you don't like something, there is plenty of good stuff out there. But sure peeps should at least give things a chance tho.

Eh, I'd recommend not taking people too seriously here. People generally do recommend some quality shows, perhaps a bit "aggressively" with the attitude, and dismissing them will be met with hostility.
Of course it isn't that serious, since no one really means it when someone calls anyone "scrub" or worse. Well kinda.
Just laughing it off / ignoring it is ideal, IMO.

The whole 'art style' stuff kind of bothers me tho'
I mean, sure, but does something really bother you to the point where you'd skip out on something potentially awesome?
Hell, HxH bothered me a touch with that f*cking Bean thing or whatever (Togashi is pretty unique with his designs) but then I came to love it.
Especially when it comes to Jojo.
Seen a bunch of peeps who couldn't take it 'cos of the art style.
I mean... c'mon!
Does it really bother you that much?

But it's along the same lines as Lotion's "I can't take HxH seriously cos Gon looks like a porcupine."
And same superficial stuff like that.
But PMMM's jawlines bothered me a lil' when I first watched it.

It's absolutely f*cking dreadful and one of the most awful 26 episodes I've watched in my life.
So yeah, just going off by the art style bothers me.
Cos a show shouldn't be judged on the style alone.

The reason I used to judge things by art style was because it was my first interaction with it and I used that as a way to try to guage interest in shows: "Oh, that looks interesting. That looks kiddy as can be, I'll pass this for the more interesting looking show."

I don't mind people getting put off by the art style of a show.
To the eternal rustling of other Kaiba fans, I can't deny the art style made it really hard to get into and even now I still can't really appreciate that part of it, despite it being an otherwise great show.
I can admit that's a bit shallow, though it would be moreso if I never gave it a chance due to that.
Still, it's not entirely. Art is an important part of any visual medium. Judging based on that is fair.
Saying it's loli garbage when it's not tho...

Clannad made me laugh originally with the eyes/faces. Stopped after episode 3. Now I can't laugh even if I tried to. It had such a deep impact on me...

There's 3 things about the Sayaka figma I like better then the GSC figurine. 2 of them I already mentioned with the cape and the base but the other one is the extra display swords it comes with. They look so cool circled around her...
Still I love my Sayaka figurine to death. Can't wait to get the other ones... soon... soon
