Finished War in the Pocket, my first Gundamn show recommended by non other than that dude who recommends loads of stuff to me.

 

Pretty damn good as far as things go. I pretty much saw where it was going until the final episode since I really did think the absolute worst was going to happen.

 

So yeah.

 

Rad old-school animation, great synth music, unsmoked cigarettes and a realistic depiction of war contrasted by a young lead who did what any boy did at that age "playing war" with his buddies only to have its realities shoved onto his face in one big ol' package of "f*ck you."

 

So yeah.

 

Impulse.

 

From somebody who's never even bothered watching a Gundamn show before.

 

Watch War in the Pocket.

 

Jeez.

 

Now time to focus on JJBA + LOTGH + HxH rewatches.

Well neither did I, and tbh I didn't really get most of the context, just that there are two factions going to war and the story is about what happens during this neutral colony during it.

 

But it's only 6 episodes and pretty good.

 

Geth says there's more like this one.

 

He also says SEED sucks ass.

 

So I don't think I'll be watching that any time soon.

I love how the kids in War in the Pocket are basically Impulse when he goes about which Gundam is better than the other and all xD - works really well for what they try to tell.

SEED has a few moments where it's alright. Not a must watch by any means, but I've seen worse.

There are multiple universes, I'll break down the best received ones for you in their chronological order. One thing that I must point out is that each Gundam Verse is radically different, it is possible to hate one and love another.

The 08th MS Team (not part of the main story)

0080 War in a Pocket (not part of the main story)

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

Mobile Suit ZZ Gundam (You can skip this one and not miss a thing if you hate it like most)

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counter Attack (film)

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn (7 Part OVA that concludes the original universe)
