The only anime I have a problem watching in it's original language is DBZ. It's Goku's voice. I just don't understand why his voice is the way it is.

You would not believe how much I am used to watching Advent Children (Complete) in Japanese. It's like a bad habit now.

I would say Subs > Dubs but if I have to read something I'd prefer to read the manga if possible.

Some Geth Otakon Day 1 Report.

I got up today a bit late, got there around 12ish. Found out that they would set up the line for Crispin Freeman's autograph around 2. So I went around a bit getting some pics of cosplay and such, then went by the habor to get something to eat. All the food was overpriced there, those snakes! Still it's good that we get money from out of the state, but still those snakes!

Got in the autograph line, in the line I met a woman in a wheelchair behind me in line, she was around my age, we starting to talk about anime and manga stuff. It's was pretty nice, even when we disargreed about some series we were still just joking about stuff and talking about funny sh!t. It's nice when you can talk to some cool normal people like that there.

Got the sutograph, then I came home.

I spend 25 bucks today, just on bus fare and that overpriced food.


@the subs vs dubs talk, I like whatever fits. I have seen some dubs that are better than the Japanese versions.

@MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 Son Goku sounds like that in Japanese because he is a manchild, I don't mean that as an insult, I mean he sounds like he's still childlike and innocent and like he never grew up is all. Kind of like Peter Pan.

Which is fine with how the character looks and acts like most of the time and so it fits.


I was thrown off by his voice initially too but you get used to that quick. The screaming and Kamehamehas and quality make up for the "he doesn't sound manly" pretty quickly. And helps distinguish him from Vegeta and Piccollo and such.

Some Geth Otakon Day 2 Report.

All I did today was buy sh!t! And that's all I really did, well I got some pics too.

Anyway what I was most happy with was this.



Not because it's a sexy figure, it's because I got it for 80 bucks! That is 40 bucks off of the normal price.

Some Geth Otakon Day 3 Report.

Well I didn't get into to see the Yoko Kanno concert, ugh ugh UGH!

But I got Maile Flanagan's autograph, because there was really nothing else to do today. BELIEVE IT!!!

Still, Flanagan is a nice person and I did like meeting her there.

The rest of the day I was in the game hall playing SSFIV:AE.

Well there has been better years but this one was pretty good.

The site before said (before Otakon started anyway) that I would need no ticket to get into the concert, well looks I did need one. And I missed all the times when I could get a ticket pass thing, because I didn't even know about the damn thing.

So yeah, not my fault.
