Second season jumped too quickly from the whole "I just want to help my sister with her Otaku hobby" to "I want to shag my sister" imo. LN readers say it was handled a lot better in the LN though. It's still not as bad as some people make it out to be though.

 

It still had one of the best fanbase rage moments when the ending happened. I will never forget the day that final episode aired on /a/. 

 

It was simply amazing.

Done with Puella Magi Oriko Magica and there's really not that much to say about the spin-off manga. It's so-so all on all areas. The premise of the story is great but since the manga is as short as it never get the chance to be fully develop and mature over time to find a the true heights that could be reached. The manga got the PMMM girls involved in some capacity which is both cool but also limiting since it remove time that could be added to the new characters. Did enjoy the extra time with the girls and since they were added it's probably for the best that they never really developed since I doubt the author would be able to avoid making them feel off. The art style is.. maybe alright with some characters, like Mami and Madoka looking fine enough while characters that have more aggressive facial structure like Homura and Kyouko looking at times quite odd.

 

If people love PMMM and want more at any cost then Oriko is not bad but if someone just enjoyed PMMM then don't bother, read Different Story instead. It's much better!
