Every time I look at you there's an awful lack of watching PMMM going on.

In my usual miserable routine I don't spend much time watching TV to be honest.

All done with "Welcome to the N.H.K" and it was an interesting watch. When the show focused on the plentiful of darker and more troubling subjects in the show, like suicide pacts, abuse, hikikomori lifestyle and quite a few other issues. The show very much focus on the hardships in life and how to deal with them in our own way. The show also do try to use comedy to very varying effect and honestly rarely worked with me, the show was just at its best when it was serious and dealt with the darker parts of its narrative rather than the MC having some weird dream that lasted way too long. Now the MC, Sato is very well written and is a strong driving force that make things happen weather he want them to happen or not. Together with Misaki, a very interesting girl and Yamazaki, Sato's old kohai the show encounter a few bumps every now and then but never fall of the track which made it possible to watch it all the way. Watching Sato change and learn more and more about Misaki became my main interest as the show went on. The art style is quite grim which suit the show very well. It just wouldn't have worked at all if the colours would've been vibrant or lively, the disconnect would've been complete. OST was.. very easy to forget existed but I don't recall any tracks being used in the wrong situations so that's at least something.

 

Perhaps give the show a watch or at least read up on it and see if it got anything that might interest you. Uncertain on how much I liked it but it was not a waste of time or such.
