Apparently, earlier this year,  the mangaka started working on it again. So maybe at some point over the next couple years we may see more

You and me both. I don't recall if all of the manga was ever animated or not.

In the case of Black Lagoon technically there is, the OVA Robberta's Blood Trail. Manga events past that have made little leeway the Manga ka went on hiatus for about a year and now if your are luck you see one 20 page chapter every month or two. And even then its JUST past the events in RBT.

If it happens it will be yeaaaars from now, provided he doesn't quit.

If you want something to fill in that spot I highly rcommend Jormungund.

Yeah, hopefully. In the mean time a friend of mine recommended Trigun. Said it was better.

I must go see if it's true.

Though that Jormungund sounds interesting.

It's similar to black lagoon but don't expect the two to be just alike. Black lagoon is over the top at times but does have dark moments and character development. Jormungund doesn't really ever take itself seriously but is over the top

Eh, it would be nice to view an anime that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I had that on a virtual sticky note "To Watch" list but I think I deleted it so I forgot to watch it. I haven't really been in an anime watching mood since I'd have to watch them on my phone.

@LegendaryAvenger, That's what I'm talking about :)

@Nashiktal, I agree too. I like a few new style anime, but I prefer mostly old style (hand-drawn) anime.

Theory: Colorful visuals are hindrances, distractions and cover-ups for the (mediocre) story just like in Cinema and Video Games.

I got to get back to that. I think I was able to watch it on this stupid phone but I can't really remember. I had just finished up the first season when I found out about season 2.

So being that the scanlators are intent on taking two months to translate each chapter of Sankarea, I picked up a series called "Nisekoi" (Fake Love) as I saw that Shaft will be releasing an anime adaptation in January (and Shaft can do no wrong).

I have to say though, the manga is just about as cliche as it can get. I mean, sometimes frustratingly so. It started strong with a really good premise and two irate, profane, and incredibly angry protagonists, who are still very entertaining to read. But the author just keeps throwing everything in the harem handbook at this one: "Oh, that person that looked like a pretty boy is actually a girl! Oh, she fell in love with the male lead!", "Oh look! This girl was the male lead's fiancee when they were kids, and now she's back ten years later to claim him!", "Oh damn! It turns out the male lead had THREE mysterious playmates as a child, and anyone one of them can be the one he promised to love forever! Haha, too bad he can't even remember her name. What's that? All three ALSO remember this mysterious promise, but for some reason none of them remember that it was with him that they made it?"

Like...if the two leads weren't so lovably ferocious, and if their interactions weren't so genuinely adorable...idk. I'm 32 chapters in (of the current 87) and i don't intend on stopping.

And I can just tell that Shaft is gonna make something amazing out of this.

8/10 so far (despite the very prevailant employment of bland, albeit cleverly used cliches).Chitoge best gurl, landslide victory. Cut the harem sh!t and make it happen you incessant puppeteers.

I don't watch much anime, but I recently finished Steins; Gate. I didn't know what to think at first, but ended up really enjoying it.

Steins is a great one.

I'd also recommend Mahou Shoujo Madoka Majica

Steins Gate is great.

Hower, I tend to avoid magical girl and harem anime as a rule...because they suck

I'd recommend watching Madoka Magica if only because of the general idea of the genre being immature and dime-a-dozen.
