Can someone remind me what that final fantasy game was that Sim recently played?

 

The one he really liked I mean.

I wasn't 100% sure though. After seeing all of his posts about the game I kind of want to download it myself and play it but I didn't want to accidentally download the wrong one.

So I read the first volume of Homuras Revenge.

My thoughts below (warning: it will have some spoilers from the TV series)

Not a whole lot to say really. The premise is that at the end of the TV series timeline Homura despite knowing the strands of fate are connected to Madoka from multiple timelines still decides to do another reset, only this time she does it well holding Madoka and both along with QB get sent back to the start of the cycle, so QB and Madoka both know all the events that occurred in the TV series timeline. Madoka believes now that she has a knowledge of how things occur they can change how things happen and QB continues being a little **** and messing everything up.

It's mostly just been a retelling of the TV series so far just with a few differences here and there. Despite Madoka trusting Homura right from the start this time and trying to work alongside her things start going even worse then the previous timeline mainly due to QBs manipulation. Basically everyone (besides Madoka) ends up hating Homura a lot more then they did in the TV series and QB manipulates things to make things go a lot more poorer for her. The first volume ends off at the alleyway scene in which the group originally meets Kyouko and things are looking pretty grim so far.

The art style is the best I've seen of all the spinoffs and resembles the original series a lot more closely then the others did. It's pretty good in that sense.

The characters are not quite as fleshed out as the original, partially because this is a story that assumes you already know them from the original work. There's a few things I felt had more weight in the TV series that this sort of feels this makes light of a bit to me, such as Madoka final decision and Homura losing her resolve to keep resetting the cycle. Also it seems to me QB kind of lies in this which is odd to me because in the TV series and the final movie it technically never tells a lie. Although I'd have to go back a reread parts to see just how direct of a lie they were.

I'd like to see a bit more deviation from the TV series timeline as the future mangas are released although this manga has made it a point to try and follow it relatively closely. Nothing has truly made this worthwhile yet but I'm still interested to see where it is going and I'll be picking up the 2nd volume when it releases. I can't call it a must get as is ATM though unless you're really hunkering for a PMMM fix

6 is better.

Many of the fans who have played it seem to feel that 6 is the best. I haven't played it myself though. 9 and 10 are the best that I've played so far.

7 is decent but really overrated.

8 has some things I really like but overall isn't amazing. I agree with Sim, Laguna is the best part of it.

TEWR praised its qualities on that front, which naturally caught my interest, so I want to see how it holds up.

But knowing TEWR, I am sure he is in the right. And the game has Simon Templeman, so it is a plus.

So chances are that we'll get an adaptation for PrismaIllya 3rei since the first episode from 2rei S2 isn't even out yet and the pre orders are already looking pretty good.

 

And since House said that crazy stuff goes down in 3rei I consider that good news.

So just thought I'd check to see if anyone has some advice for something.

I mostly fixed my Godoka figure. The only thing I'm having issues with ATM is the bow in the hand. The bow is pretty heavy and the hand is flimsy. It won't stay in its original position because the hand and starts drooping down a bit so the bow is horizontal when it's suppose to be vertical. and then the fingers eventually give out a drop the bow. Anyone have an idea of how I could strengthen the hand so it doesn't droop down from the weight of the bow. I'm trying to think of solutions that won't be very noticeable when looking at the figure.

I'd rather not but I could glue the bow to the hand to make sure it doesn't fall out but I'm not sure glue would help with the hand drooping due to the weight of the bow since it's really the only thing holding it in place.

3rei focuses on big fights, more Rin and Luvia, kid Gil, Illya more close to her SN self, hardly any loli fan service and the best trace on ever.
