There is Rebuild of Evangelion but i never watched it and i don't know if it counts as sequel.

However i can't see how they even could continue after what happens in the film, but it was better than retarded "congratulations" anime ending.

I find it plenty ironic that some people view eva endings as "retarded".

These endings have so much to say actually, as opposed to more commonly praised ends.

There was nothing good about NGE ending, it was a slap in the face.
I know NGE ending (last 2 episodes) is taking place in Shinji's mind, while EOE shows what is happening in the world during this time.

The difference is NGE ending was rushed, makes no sense and even creators hated it, while EOE is the exact opposite.

It does make sense. Tho obviously rushed and lacking in some monetary aspects, if you've some interest in a history of ideas and philosophy, EVA is excellent at hinting and reimagining and a much-to-say piece on its own.

End of Evangelion almost made me throw up. One of the most disturbing experiences of my youth.

So, I just finished watching Mirai Nikki with some friends. What's the general opinion about it around here? We were intrigued by the first episode, liked the final episode and went from being amused at best to pretty much shocked by everything inbetween. We'd stopped watching at episode 15 or 16 a few months ago, and got over with the rest in one session yesterday, and mostly only continued at all because my friend who has all the animes had basically forbidden us to start with Psycho Pass until we'd finished Mirai Nikki first (he's like that sometimes ^^).

It just didn't had much going for it for most of the episodes - there was no reasonable balance between dramatic/brutal stuff and ott sillyness and slapstick, too many of the characters were ridiculous in design and their psychology was oftentimes weird and hard to comprehend, and there were quite a few things that plain made no sense at all. The finale actually put us into a more forgiving mood, but overall we were pretty let down by it.

Now we're looking forward to getting started with Psycho Pass and continuing with our other ongoing '1-2 episodes at a time' series, like Mushishi, Kino's Journey, Master Keaton and Hansaku Iroha.

It's written by Fumihiko Shimo (Toradora!) and it sounds just beautiful. Not airing until October though~

The author of Toradora!? This just jumped to the top of my Fall watch list...right behind Madoka Movie 3.

And he's teamed up with JC Staff for production again, so i have high hopes

And OMG Yukari Hashimoto is doing the music (she composed for Toradora! and Sankarea). Yes. I thought Nisekoi was my most anticipated upcoming anime, but with the staff on this, it comes close...

Dragon Ball has no closure except Goku's marriage, just few good episodes after the main story is finished. As it must be just a prologue for DBZ.
I started watching DBZ afterwards. The plot thickens and therefore its more interesting (at least till episode 10).

I really like the show though. It's really laid back. Though, I've only completed  one episode thus far.

The lackadasical antics will only persist. Just wait until the "Ore Man" part.
