Yeah also saw Charlotte yesterday. Really digging it and after I got done watching this episode I also realised that I'm really starting to like the cast so I'm sure that the KEY twist will hurt when it happens.
Needs more KEY eyes tho.

It's growing on me and even if it might never be that awesome it's still charming enough. And being charming to watch is not so bad of a description all things considered
Aside from the points Chewin has covered I think Fidite is missing out on the simple (and probably the most important of all) human factors here that the show clearly makes no qualms in pointing out.
Since what you're saying isn't wrong, but the way you present your argument makes it seem as its a flaw within the narrative when clearly the narrative gives you a scenario wherein the infiltration is believable given you take into account everything in place.
As is the case in the first season (and again, the show clearly wants to tell you this,) one of the defining factors of this 100 year war is the incompetence, corruption and greed of both the Empire and Alliance's chain of command.
These very human faults are more to blame than any ch*nk the mechanism you want to point out. LOTGH is a show that's pretty big on history and history is filled with idiots. Take Charles of Valois, or Louis the Hutin, or Charles IV. All people that essentially destroyed the work of Philip the IV. I'm not big on history, but I'm okay when it comes to the Capets at least.
So back on topic.
Neglect, conceit and overconfidence are natural developments when it comes to a fortress that has held its strategical position, lived up to its reputation and has slaughtered all six attempts at taking it. Given that the Empire is confident of its capabilities (and are given every good reason to believe so) it's no wonder that its administrative personnel as well as its other staff are not the cream of the crop.
Isernholn is a destructive tool, however, ultimately a tool is only a useful as its user. In reality, what gives it its value is its name more than what it can do.
If this still doesn't persuade you, then don't worry. Forget the whole thing since you will witness how competent commanders can make Yang Wenli's sweat drip from his strategic balls when it comes to battles at Iserholn.
P.S
lol apparently C-H-I-N-K is a swear word to be censored.

It might still get awesome later on.
Key's stuff (at least the stuff I experienced) tend to get amazing in their true routes so in anime terms I guess that would be ep. 8-13 or so.

I'm betting on it to change things up though it need to shape a lot faster than towards the end. If it had been a longer show I'd be giving it more time but they wanted to make something within 13 episodes and the risks of taking too long with the "awesome" are increasing.

KEY eyes are a treasure.

I found this from an interview from the KEY writer behind Charlotte
- As opposed to Angel Beats! which had a very flashy and fast-paced beginning, Charlotte will start off slow and ease into the plot gradually. They're confident you'll be able to feel more from the story this way.
Oh and I also found this:
- Angel Beats! was never able to take the time to develop individual characters' stories, always jumping from one to another at a rapid pace, and many cuts had to be made to fit the story within 13 episodes. This time, the story will only focus on 4 main characters, two of which are our male protagonist Yuu Otosaka, and our heroine Nao Tomori.
Haven't watched Angel Beats! myself but it might be interesting for the people have watched it.
KEY eyes are a treasure.
Yes. They're amazing like that.
Ah good that alleviates some of my worries about the show.
Angel Beats had its awesome happen in the timespan you mentioned. It also had plotholes the size of a galaxy so I can appreciate the different approach but there's a lack of confidence in KEY from me. The talent is obviously there but is the execution? Still liked AB but that come more from emotional payoff and amazing OST. KEY still got time with Charlotte to get things going, if they start to show signs next week to move things forward then all things are good. Will only truly be able to judge if they managed when all things are done and I can see the larger picture
Angel Beats is a good 10+ episodes.
Not the best f*cking thing in the world.
Like lots of people like to say.
And it didn't even make me shed a tear.
And this is from a cry baby.
But it has its glorious moments.
As well as this OVA
Finished watching the 16 new episodes of Gintama.
It's good.
Hit or miss, but overall OK.
The 4th wall brekaing episodes, the lottery ticket, the gender bender, the re-branding, the school lunch - best of the bunch
Conversely, the episodes I liked the least were the new divas meeting and the last arc (executioner).
It runs exactly the same as X episodes before where there's a cute female swordmaster who Gin helps and strengthens her resolve with his wisdom. Frankly, at this point Gin's heroic antics are getting on my nerves.
The Angel Beats! Opening is so beautiful.
I cannot stop listening to it.
Anyway, anyone else excited for the new upcoming Gundam series "Iron Blooded Orphans" and the Origin episode 2? I hope IBO will be good since AGE and GNR sucked.
I liked Clannad better. AB was good well watching it and it did make me cry but after I finished it the issues it had really started to sink in: like how its story made no ****** senseAngel Beats is a good 10+ episodes.

Has anyone posted this yet? Check it out, someone drew a Yandere Simulator manga! This is keen!

Kobato.

Caught up with Rokka No Yuusha.
Yeah ep 3 and 4 were way better than anything before and it seems that we're finally getting to the plot of the anime.
Oh and that ED in episode 4 might be the most unsubtle thing I've seen in a long time. Unless the animation studio is trying to troll me but I kind of doubt it.
So yeah here is everything that I did at Otakon.
Spoiler
That blake cosplay though.
I should attend one of these someday....
Someday. Before we all die and go to hell. Then become gay and die again.
