Vivi's last speech was beautiful and actually made me choke up a little. It's hard for me to get emotional with manga without music and voice acting to go with it.

 

So kudos, Oda.

 

I think it really captured the heart and soul of One Piece

A couple of days ago I stated that I might do a review of Fate/Zero, well here it is! 

 

 

Fate Zero seemed to have a reoccurring theme which I really dug and that theme was

self-destruction. Every single master that died was an architect of their own destruction and I found the irony delicious. You had: Archibald killing the priest who was a chicken-**** and not playing by the rules, you had Sola-ui who strong armed her way into becoming Lancer's master despite not being prepared which caused her to lose her hand and get captured, you had Archibald foolishly agreeing to that contract and suiciding Lancer (I called what was going to happen to the letter here), you had Tokiomi train and literally hand his killer the instrument of his death, you had Natalia who also raised, trained and armed her killer; she should have seen her own death coming because of Emiya's mentality of killing one to save more, best of all was Kariya Matou who tried to win the grail to save Sakura who hilariously wasn't even grateful and called him pathetic when he died.

 

 

 

I found the storytelling masterful, the art beautiful and the characters realistic and well done. I flip-flopped for a while on who I wanted to win until I came to understand the characters and their motivations, it was interesting to watch them all progress! I also found a lot of the moments touching like when Emiya

went to shoot down the plane with the Stinger and kept talking to Natalia (I figured out what he was going to do when he got on the boat, but it didn't make it any less impactful), Rider taking Waver as his servant and ordering him to live on, and Emiya finding Shirou in the rubble and believing himself to have been the one that was saved.

 

 

It's rare for me to come across such an impactful series. Despite season 1's slow start and pacing, I found it to truly be a pleasure to watch. That's why I give Fate Zero a 10 out of 10. Here's hoping that I enjoy UBW!

Finally managed to catch up on God Eater. Episode 3 was pretty good. Visuals were good, and music was really really good. Impressed so far with the series.

What I gleamed from the synopsis made it sound like the basic setting is pretty much taken straight from Shingeki no Kyojin, so I omitted it in favour for Rokka no Yuusha.

Don't know why you are experiencing that one, since UBW 2014 works more as a sequel of sorts (and 2006 is pretty bad). But eh, if you are looking to get everything out of Fate in terms of anime, then sure go ahead.

Simple. Vroom is not going to read the VN, so if he does not see DEENs SN, he WILL miss out on alot of details along with the truth of Sabers contract with the world that is never revealed in UBW and HF.

 

I don't like DEENS SN at all (and teh fate orute it self outside certain parts is bad) but it's still important for various info and other stuff.
