These aren't necessarily of anime that I've seen (just wanted to clear that up), but as luck would have it, back when I had roommates I actually did see a couple of episodes when one of my roommates was watching it. I thought it was really odd, but I wasn't back into anime back then. 

 

My memory of it is pretty much non-existent other than the father not liking the main character

I need to get back to it, but a bunch of other things piled up so I'm putting it on hold right now. Probably after I beat Lord of Magna, which I'm grinding for the first time so I can beat the final boss.

 

While we are on the topic, for the Fate route, is it okay if I turn off the voices? I tend to read faster when I don't have to worry about hearing a voice. I'll turn it back on for the other routes, though.

If I remember right it is on Netflix, and the sub is bad on Kissanime anyway, so Nepflix is a great place to watch it.

That's the first time I've seen someone ask a question like that. Well I don't think there was anything  really important voice-wise in the Fate route so if you really want to go voiceless and still experience the route itself it would be okay. Except for Illya of course, you'd be a monster to turn her voice off. Maybe putting them back on the last final days or so would still be a good idea.

 

Don't turn the ost off though. I mean you'll probably hear most of them again in the next route but still.
