So since finishing Startdust Crusaders, which was excellent and a great palette cleanser, I've been watching some shorter series.

Jumped into Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii (The world is still beautiful) first, which was an easy, enjoyable watch. Basically just a love story with some very likeable characters. Nothing particularly deep.

Then started The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and subsequently dropped it after 13 episodes because it just wasn't cutting it and showed no signs of improving.

After that, I watched Kaiba, which was absolutely excellent and I'll have to thank Isi next time he comes read this thread for recommending it a bunch of times.

And now I've watched the first 3 episodes of Michiko to Hatchin.



And I have to question why this anime doesn't appear in recommendations more often. Judging from the first 3 episodes, it's off to a very promising start. So either very few people watched it, or it fails to keep delivering as the show progresses. Guess I'll find out.

There are several animes I want to watch but I'm waiting to get a HDTV. LOTGH comes in 720p and others like Kaiba I wanna watch in HD. 

 

I'm picky like that. Try playing games on an HDTV for over a year and go back to a non HD TV. It's like going from internet porn to playboy.

I throw Bizarros into the furnace. Bad waste of potential and genetic material.
Can't even salvage anything from it.
