I also managed to start Sankarea (the manga), and I just have to say, Chichiro is the most lovable necrophiliac ever, which just feels weird to say. >.>

One Piece has its dark momeants sure, like how Disney movies have them, just with more violence. I still say at its heart it's a fun adventure story with great world building. But all the sad pasts and dead moms sure make the story better. The manga is better tho.The Mad Hanar wrote...
You may have a point, Geth. I've held off on One Piece for so long since the show seems too happy go lucky--if that makes any sense. It seems to be that way with both Hunter and OP, but based off of what I've seen/heard, that doesn't seem to be the case at all.
@Red Yes he is.

But still, I'm torn between dislike and hype. Because, as with Titan, I really enjoy the series at times, but sometimes both Titan and Hunter x Hunter 2011 really really disappoint.
I'm surprised even how much I'm enjoying the 2011 now. Used to be pure disappointment.
Still, for newcomers who prefer an art style and tension similar to Berserk and at times to Death Note, as opposed to adventure in the likes of One Piece, I'd surely recommend watching the 1999 Hunter x Hunter first and foremost. It's a classic, always will be...

Dangan ronppa was similar. It looked cool, but didn't hook me with first episodes. I bet if I'd have played the game, I would even of had some degree of dislike towards the anime's first few.
But boy was it fun to do episode 4 until 12. Pretty interesting stuff right there.
Still enjoying the Hunter X Hunter more though!
edit: fave char? It's got to be Syo!

And my favorite character was Togami.

Togami was a close second. A grower. Once you understand him more, he's the more likeable. Syo however has an instant appeal that always makes me grin. I love the possibility of these types of characters. Moreso when they function more or less to-the-goal and normally... Tho she's not normal. Obviously. Not. at. all.

Batman of Shanghai would have made for a great show.
The new cgi Batman is not so bad, but kind of so-so. Bat-Mite said it best at the end of this video.

One question: is it very action oriented? I prefer fight scenes when they are animated.

Does that makes sense?
Then again, most of the people shipping them are yaoi fangirls tbh. Not judging anyone, people can like what they like but its another thing I don't understand. Not my kind of thing.
