I'm not really a fan of most shipping, mainly because it ignores a lot of things in favor of what people want to be the case or simply fantasize about. Or it tries to say "X did Y, and only gay people/lesbian people/bi people do that!"

No one actually says those things, but it sure comes across that way in how a lot of people tend to act. Not all (that goes without saying) but a lot, from my experience.

Case in point: Sora and Riku in Kingdom Hearts. Or Axel and Roxas.

If there's actually something to indicate it, then I'm fine with shipping. Or if a creator says "Yeah sure, you can ship 'em if you want" I'm fine with it. Or if there's a substantial lack of anything for or against, I'm fine.

Case in point, people that ship someone with Varel from DA (I've seen that!). There's nothing for it or against it, so why the hell not?

But as a general rule, I dislike shipping.

That kind of simplicity doesn't make sense at all. Labelling people or characters and lumping them together to fit stereotypes is never to be taken seriously, but if it is, then the people labelling are a tad stupid. And if they are joking with naming someone "gay", then even moreso and lame.

It is interesting that someone likes horror in anime, some else likes bewbz, some one likes action and the other likes deep stuff. You can find their taste if you take a look at their ratings obviously.

But there are a few rare instances where I think the original pairing is just wrong..on many levels.

Back to DBZ, the Frieza's episodes were too many I think, a bit frustrating, they could do it in the half number of episodes. Season 4 is quite good. A short story with that dark planet, the fillers and now these androids.
