Kill la Kill was an amazing treat that all should watch.

 

Based Ragyo sama, Satsuki sama, Sanageyama, Gamagoori, and Tsumugu, and Nonon were an absolute joy to watch on screen.

Imo the Valkyria game is a couple dozen times more enjoyable than the show itself.

 

To avoid drowning you in shows it's probably easier for you to mention at any given point for what kind of show you're looking for and there will be most likely several people with many recommendations

You'll start to figure it out after a certain amount of shows. By this point I've watched well over 200 shows so I should have a show or two for right about any situation or interest. Watching a diverse cast of shows did help finding many gems which most are either mentioned now or will be mentioned plenty of times in the future

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

 

I think you're bound to like/love it regardless of your preferences and one of the greats.

 

And here's a warning.

 

Never go near the One Piece anime. If you're going to tackle the awesome beast that is One Piece (which is very very good btw.)

 

Go for the manga.
