Alright post like this one makes it worth it aswell. Reaaaaaally happy that you also like Rebellion a great deal. Absolutely one of the more enjoyable and exciting movies that I've watched. Generally I'm terrible at watching movies but with movies of such quality as Rebellion there were never a risk of me pausing it to "only" check on something.

 

Top tier cool in our books for sure!

 

It really was something else. I don't think I've ever watched anything quite as engaging and thought provoking as Rebellion. I totally get what you meant when you said you wish you could watch it for the first time again. It was quite the experience!

 

I look forward to when Dio Demon gets around to it after calling the series an acid trip... Rebellion's on a whole new level.

I'm a huge soundtrack buff, they're most of what listen to. And I'm probably not going to listen to anything else for a good couple of weeks. Its just that good. I don't think I could stop if I wanted to! 

 

 

So who was your favorite magical girl by the end anyways?

 

This is real tough.

 

On the one hand, there's Sayaka.

She's just so likeable to begin with and her character develops so well without ever losing what made her cool in the first place. She played the role of so many different entities come the end of it all. She's beaten by Homura for sheer number, but unlike her, Sayaka never lets her changes in role twist who she is at her core, (bar the inevitable changes brought by the corruption of her soul gem) which is really quite endearing.  

 

But I'd probably have to lean toward the avatar, Kyoko.

I love any character that can play with my expectations like she does, Starting as a brash antagonist, before coming across as more than a little crazy, then finally turning out to have all this back story going for her that causes her to act that way, becoming almost a whole other character as she chooses to lessen the pretence a bit (which Rebellion did a great job of showing too).

 

And honourable mentions to

Homura, for that character development. Other media could learn a lot from having a character develop as successfully and to the same extent that she does, both in the stories true chronology and how the audience witnesses it.

 

And also to Charlotte/BeBe/MoeMoe/whatever the heck you are for being this weird little character that comes completely out of left field, but was actually there the whole time. Beyond even the movie too. Loved that little twist. Whether they did or not is another matter, but they really convince you that they had that planned the whole time.

I use a Kindle Fire HD and it's great. It has a nice big screen, great picture quality and no fear of viruses or malware.
