I finished the Fate UBW Visual Novel and got the true route, am going to go back and get the good route then move on to HF.

'Tis I did not expect. She did beat Kyoko so at least I can take comfort in knowing Kyoko got beaten by the eventual winner and a great character on that. We've always said that Oregairu got some pretty amazing characters so makes sense that quite a few of them got rather far but to win, that's something!

So for funsies I checked where the PMMM girls got eliminated.

 

Madoka: Round 3 Vs Isuzu Sento (Amagi Brilliant Park)

Sayaka: Round 2 Vs Mikoto Misaka (A certain magical Index)

Mami: Round 3 Vs Sinon (SAO2)

Homura: Round 4 Vs Taiga (Toradora)

Kyoko: Round 3 Vs Yukino Yukinoshita (Oregairu)

 

At least 3 of the girls ran into some rather popular characters that most characters would fall to.

 

While I was at it I had to check on a few other characters htat I've had as avi and/or still adore very, very much.

 

Nonon: Round 4 vs Eru Chitanda (Hyouka)

Mine: Round 3 Vs Rikka Takanashi (Chuunibyou) 

Nona: Round 2 Vs Mami (PMMM)

Megumi: Quarter-finals VS Senjougahara (Monogatari)

 

Ore monogatari looks like a tons of fun.

Saw one clip where that big guy asked his friend to teach him how to kiss. Hilarious!

 

Really waiting for it to come closer to being finished and I'll pick it up. Been interested in it since like almost the start and it's going to be great ot have a show that has gotten that good acclaim waiting

I've been watching Ore monogatari since it started airing and it's not bad but it does get repetitive in some episodes. Although the last few episodes have been better.

It also has Suna, the best bro character.

And yes Chewin that scene was hillarious. I was so not prepared for that.

I wasn't a fan of AmaLee's cover. This one was pretty good though.

Brave Shine is a very hard song to do well. Aimer is one hell of a vocalist.

I just finished Shinsekai Yori! I will try my best to review this once I have gathered my thoughts, but for now all I have to say is that this show is easily in my top 3 anime of all time.

I've been putting off doing a re-watch of Madoka for a while due to the influx of suggestions from you guys, but I may have to do that in the near future. While the show easily ranks in my top 3, I find myself having a slight edge toward Shinsekai Yori at the moment. Then again, the first time I watch PMMM I was relatively new to the anime scene. Point is I will try again and see if my opinion still holds true.

I get teary eyed whenever I see the scene with Saki and Squealer. Particularly when she tells him it's time for his suffering to end, and that there are some things which are more important than rules. The decision carries the weight and meaning of the entire series and the development Saki went through all of it behind it.

Of course it's just like Saki to be the one to strive for a better future, rules be damned. She truly is one of my favorite protagonists out there.

The end of a journey. SSY got so many journeys happening at the same time. One for everyone of the main group, one for the society and the world. One for Squealer and his "people" and of course one for Saki. They all get tied up so nicely but the last episode tie the last few journeys up so well that it's impossible to not be in awe. Saki has for about a year now and will most likely continue to be my favorite protagonist in anime. Such a good girl!

SSY is a show that I have started twice and dropped both times.

I really have no clue what it is that puts me off by the show. I have no problems with the artstyle, the setting or the characters, yet it feels like a drag every time I try to watch it. Well it is my loss. Maybe the "mood" comes to me at some point.

I would also like to be on to say "One of my favorite protagonists ever". Her interactions were normal, the quest for knowledge could only be rivaled by the audience member's, and she knew how to take responsibility when the time came. Overall she was one of the most human protagonists I have seen in anime. I felt for her at the right moments and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I can't think about this anymore for now. I will come back later with more, but right now I am slowly going crazy from lack of sleep and overthought.

Depending on how far you got in, I understand your feelings. I watched the first two episodes and then put it off for around 2-3 days because off boredom. But, after going back and actually starting the adventure, you start to have questions that need to be answered. Then you watch more and more, and before you know it, the show is over...
