Yep. If it doesn't i'll just give up.
Heh, well I'm not watching the show, so doesn't bother me.
But I can share the sentiment when certain aspects aren't added into adaptations.
Right, House?

I could never watch the PMMM dub, Kyoko is just so insanely inferior in the dub that it hurts. I almost feel bad for Lauren Landa because it's just not possible to compete against Ai Nonaka. Not to mention the abomination they managed to cause with Sayaka and "for realz" Just. Why.. Doesn't help that the other girls in the sub got crème de la crème quality VA's. Chiwa Saito, Eri Kitamura, Aoi Yuuki.
I've most likely benefited from English not being my native language. Subs have been so natural to me that reading the text and watching the visuals happen without me noticing it so I never was at risk of missing anything but I can absolutely understand not wanting to miss anything of those visuals. They are, very, very pretty. And really, whatever version get people to watch PMMM is a good enough.
[snip cause the movement hurts my eyes]
I'm going to try the dub one of these days just to see the difference, but I doubt I'd get all the way through it based upon what I've heard.
I still can't get over how amazing you are at English despite it not being your native language XD
Rah, you're so versatile!

If I didn't know he came from the past and was a Viking I would've assumed he was a native English speaker. The same goes for a lot of people in this thread as well.
The scary thing is that people who speak/write English as their second language is usually better at it then native speakers.

Awww and I just bought the shovel!

I'll switch to Plan Q and waterboard him while making him watch Toradora, because sometimes roughness is necessary ![]()

It's actually not unusual for non-native speakers to be above average proficient compared to native speakers, since there's lots of active effort in understanding the language, it's syntax, grammar and vocabulary (non-native speakers in particular have an inherent advantage in vocabulary because the basic need to translate leads to a greater awareness in nuances between different meanings for words and context, compared to native speakers to which most stuff comes natural and they don't actively think about their choice of words nearly as often) when learning it rather than growing up with it.
The biggest difference between native and non-native speakers is arguably confidence and the danger of overthinking (this one largely exclusive to non-native speakers).
Speaking mannerisms is not something I typically get upset over Earthbound so no need to worry. Not a fan of the dub from what I've heard myself but that's admittedly pretty limited. Glad you liked it though!

It is my second favorite anime right behind Watamote. It was my favorite for a very long time, please go watch it and don't let the looks deceive you. It's the only show that I've ever blurted out "Oh S***," because of concern for the characters.

Because of this thread I just heard Madoka, Kyubey, Sayaka and Homura dubbed.
Not even going to check out Mami and Kyoko.
Toradora is one of the cutest anime love stories out there.

He may even pick up some Pluck from the guy.
Or even luck from Dio.
Seriously though I can't believe Araki actually knew about Pluck and Luck. It just shows you that there's a lot of depth in JoJo.
