Alright, I now have time to discuss Dragonball Z Resurrection 'F' in a long post.

Spoiler

As I'm sure you're aware, back in Spring was my infamous week long marathon of Dragonball Z. This was kinda the reason I was doing that. So did it pay off? Was Resurrection F good?

Yes.

Resurrection F is an enjoyable film. Packed with alot of action and funny moments made famous by the series (A scene stands out where Goku and Vegeta have to go back to Earth to fight Frieza. And Vegeta has to hold Goku's hand to do so. His reaction is priceless. I'll probably use it as an Avi at some point).

The plot is what you'd expect. Frieza is brought back to life after his humiliating thrashing by Future Trunks in the Androids arc. Having to spend the time in between in hell (Hell for Frieza being stuck in a meadow full of cute fairies and stuffed animals playing instruments, and not being able to do anything about it. The movie opens like this. It's hilarious)

Then after being brought back he then decides to train in order to match up to Goku's God level and get revenge.

But Goku and Vegeta are off world training with Lord Beerus' Servant Whis. So when Frieza arrives it's up to Krillin, Gohan, Tien, Piccolo, Roshi (Apparently Chiaotzu and Yamcha decided to stay out of it. Prompting another laugh from the audience), and the New character Jaco the Galactic Patrolman (Who's Manga you should read before watching the movie. Otherwise there are bits you won't understand. Bulma has a sister named Tights apparently).

It's nice seeing the other Z Fighters do ****. And it's cool seeing them beat up Friezas mooks as there's great animation and choreography during the sequence. Very engaging pretty much everyone's iconic moves are used during the fight.

 

That's about as far as I'll go without spoiling everything as I'd say you should check the movie out yourself.

This being the first anime film I've seen in a theater, I'll admit it was a very unique and fun experience maybe I will go see the Attack on Titan movie after all because of it (Dammit Funimation you got me by the balls).

The audience got really into the movie, lot's of laughs, ooohs, ahhs, and cheering. It was good energy to be around.

 

Overall yeah, I'd say Resurrection F is worth a watch. It was good. And completely awesome to see in theaters.

The trailers gave away everything and it kind of looks meh.

 

Still waiting to watch Funi's subbed version before I give a final opinion tho.
