I've seen kill la kill while it was airing, and Katanagatri can come first if you demand it sensei..
I would say watch an episode between arcs of HxH, so as not to make you put a series on hold like that.
But yes watch it.
Need more chill.
Sh*t always should be chill.

He is? Ah, I think the anime skipped that part, I was under the impression that he just did the minimum amount of work to stay in the military of a country that hasn't been to war in 70 years.
Well, the part about him being special forces comes up later in the story, but even so, he's still a commisioned officer (lieutenant) in the JSDF. The part about him being an otako (self-admitted) is much part of his character establishment as the part where he commanded the Tokyo police forces to evacuate the panicking civilians inside the historic castle of the japanese emperor as it's a logical defensive position to hold out until help comes (another part the anime simply skipped!). That action was the initiator for him being promoted and placed in charge of the recon squad in the special region from where the story continues.
As for the actual plot and villians, aside from the tension between to anachronistic cultures and their view of the world clashing against each other (militarily and culturally), the Empire's leadership for example is doing a pretty good job at Realpolitik after he realizes what's going on (or rather that he bite way more than he could chew), rife with intrigue (throne succession, nevermind someone entirely different plotting BIGTIME which I don't exactly want to spoiler) as well as tangibly exploring the political struggles in a feudal system. And there's the supernatural aspect of, the Gods (one of which is responsible for the Gate to exist to begin with which undoubtedly will be a huge plot focus lateron) and their interactions between each other and the mortals. And of course don't forget some of the biggest rivals are other nations like the US, China and Russia who want a piece of the special region too (and go quite far to that end, but again, don't want to spoiler if the anime didn't already mess it up).
I could go into some more depth but really, just read for yourself.
Oops.
That was too late. The whole thing was too late.
Happy Birthday, House! Hope you have a good one. ![]()
Kid with sword murdering a bunch of guys with assault rifles...
Well, that tells me everything I need to know.
Hahaha! Still same ol' Lotion.
Was wondering actually today when you would pop up again.
Are you watching Shimoneta or Gakkou Gurashi? Watch those, they're awesome. I'm also watching Gate, and I'm enjoying it so far, but idk, I'm enjoying it more or less the same way I enjoyed the first arc of SAO, and this worries me.
Shimoneta doesn't interest me. Neither does Gakkou, but apparently appearances are deceiving with that one, so might check it out to see what the fuzz is about. But not really high on my priority list.
Regarding Gate, Fidite has stated that one should experience the manga instead, since the anime apparently is bad adaptation wise (and I take it weak as well on its own, in so far). So yeah, not really concerned with it.

Just watch the first episode of Gakkou, you'll understand.
