Thing is.

Yeah he's frustrating to watch.

But he's supposed to frustrate you.

Gon has always been selfish from early on.

See how he made Killua take that ball? Or when in Greed Island they call him out on it.

Gon never asked Killua "hey you want to take a card?" Nah he just thought of himself.

Gon never even asks about his feelings on anything.

He's a child! Like in a very literal way outside from what he looks like Togashi makes this painfully obvious by having Killua around as a contrast to his behaviour.

Like sure, find him annoying and all.

But don't deny how well Togashi wrote him. Because unlike other shounen protagonists, he's not the moral centre of the group, he's not shaped by those around him and he certainly isn't the paragon of all that is good for the plot.

One of the things I really enjoyed about Gon and Killua was how they sort of switched personalities along the road.

Its one of the reasons why I love the chairman arc so much.

That and the based granny bike.

That's a depressing thought, they've probably never seen season 1. :(

Crusty really is a horrible person for giving you that idiotic line to take such pride in.

While I am horrible, I actually didn't give him the line. He said it himself when referring to getting rid of the world's "undesirables" if he ever became Dictator of Earth. He justified giving large swathes of humanity the gulag treatment by claiming he was "trimming the fat". I just ran with it because it made me chuckle.

Anyways animu fans, any good "trapped in an MMO" or "set in fantasy worlds that are reminiscent of an MMO" Mongolian moving sketches going around? I remember greatly enjoying reading Yureka as a guilty pleasure until I lost touch due to it's length and refusal to end. Unfortunately, all I know aside from that and the .hack franchise is crap like SAO. Is that niche devoid of anything good or are there alternatives that you guys know of?

What about Log Horizon?

Rah, you're our expert on that. Does it take place in an MMO world? I do remember seeing some pictures of it that reminded me of an MMO world.

It's the only good one that I know of those.

And now it's making him chuckle, like we're laughing with him about that 'gem' and not at him.

I hope you're happy. >:[

Crusty probably enjoys it. He is a horrible person. He lives in Victoria (Aus) if that's not evidence of him being a horrible person then I don't know what is!

Yes.

It would be for the benefit of mankind. However, I thought about it and people are allowed to have opinions and it wouldn't make me any better than those religious zealots I don't like so much. I'll let natural selection do it's job. Besides, I'm sure several of them can redeem themselves. A lot of people can.

Log Horizon actually feels like an MMO. You might get tired of the explanations of the roles of tanks, support, healers, etc.

In any case, here are a couple of reviews on Log Horizon and SAO:

Says the guy living in New South Wales. I'm sorry but you can't prance around as if you have moral authority on the subject.

Just finished season 3. Kind of anticlimactic while being satisfying. All I can say is that it is keeping my interest so far, so I will continue.

I messaged them and said I has a friend who would get really happy if they saw their name but I don't think they saw it. It was towards the end of the raid and things were getting really hectic.
