But yeah I'd prefer they leave it for the next.

 

Gintama doesn't go back to Gintama after the Shogun Arc.

 

And having filler arcs in between would just ruin it.

 

I imagine they are waiting for the manga to finish fully. Imagine if they just kept going and then we ended with a anime only ending. Yeah **** that.
