I'll be honest I would have watched Kaiba a lot sooner but I couldn't figure out if you were being sarcastic in posting Carry Me Away.
Uh, okay, let me try. Hey Dio, you should be watching Cross Ange. It's a fun show filled with humongous mecha, dragons, and romance. But while being fun, it never lets the viewer stop thinking, as it covers serious issues such as the ability of all people to dehumanize their adversaries, the potential for abuse built into the rigid hierarchies of militaries, and the perverse writhing madness at the core of the philosophy of shock and awe in warfare. I have seen other animes attempt to portray issues like these, but never in such a mature and thoughtful manner. It is obvious that Sunrise has a great deal of respect for Cross Ange's audience and their intelligence. The animations are pretty, and Ange is a protagonist like none other, truly remarkable. Even if it were possible to hate everything else about this show, you could just watch it to see her, and the still be fully satisfied. I rate Cross Ange.... http://bit.ly/1Pnl9MZ/10

ZoE deserves props in the art-department, for certain, if only because the legend that is Yoji Shinkawa worked on the mechs... in the game, anyway -- The same man who's done the wonderful artwork for Metal Gear and the designs of the Metal Gears as well since the first Solid game back in '98.

For me I look for themes and the purpose behind the story, you look for what's on the surface level which is evident by your Zero review. At no point did you talk about what the meaning of the story was or what themes are in it, you only talk about your opinions of the characters and whether there wimps or badasses or what which is meaningless to me.
To be fair Isi, YOU can bring up the similarities to Lucifer and God which is clear that was one of Gens points. It's not what SHE is, but it should also not be ignored either.
