Maybe we can see LotGH go from topping the top top 10 lists to being called garbage just like people did with FMA the moment Brotherhood came out

He blames Gon too.
He blames Gon too.
Everyone should.
After years of seeing gifs from the sidelines, I can now properly appreciate Mako.

Though I'll hold off on calling her best character until I see more of Nonon and Aikuro.

People actually did that? Thats a shame. ![]()
Do you think the original's worth watching after seeing FMAB? I wouldn't pick it up for quite a while mind... But I like the idea of seeing the characters and even some of the same cast going about an alternate version of the story. Which is what it looked like from what little I've seen.

Yep. Since FMA:B came out the original has gone from frequenting #1 in peoples top anime lists to being trashed and called not worth watching, not unusually by people who haven't even watched it either.
It's hard to say. I watched FMA first and then read the manga that Brotherhood is based on 2nd and Brotherhood is admittedly better although I still found the original anime a strong watch. Can't promise you'd feel the same since it's hard not to compare the two instead of viewing them separately. I usually recommend FMA first and then Brotherhood afterwords when people ask but I don't think I've known a single newcomer that didn't just watch Brotherhood first.
You should watch the anime, Isi.
Voice acting, music and animation does wonders.

I have no doubt. Unfortunately it's unlikely to happen for a long time. With such limited time it doesn't seem worthwhile to make it a priority when I'm already struggling to try and watch other animes in which I have never experienced the stories for, particularly since a lot of the recommendations I get are already for longer ones and would get prioritized over one I do more or less remember.
I would say I'll watch the anime if you watch the original but truthfully I wouldn't be able to uphold my end of the bargain without either forgetting about what I've already been trying to watch or without it taking up the next year of my free time X3
One day... One day...
This is why you should watch LOTGH and become Yang Wenli

...
You said to keep bugging you xD

Ah, interesting. I did spoil a couple of its differing plot points looking up exactly what it was and I'm not quite sold with some of the casting choices... But if it holds up in its own right, who knows? I might give it a look one day.
Though if I wait too long I'll probably just want to rewatch FMAB.
Rewatching FMAB...
Yeah.
Wouldn't do that.

Ah yes. I'm contemplating taking more time off later this year for the sake of what little shred of sanity I have left.
Based Yang though
Even with all your gushing I never imagined him to be as glorious as he is.
But yeah on another FMA:B anime note Earthbound in here might remember I made a deal with LP that if he watched PMMM I'd watch OUaT and it took me like half a year of focusing on it to actually complete it.
Since then I've decided not to make any more deals for longer shows because regardless of how good it is I struggle with them

That's what Sim does
he has watched Brotherhood like 5 times and the original 0 times. When I tell him he should check it out he says maybe one day and then posts a gif along the lines of

X3
Maybe one day I'll rewatch FMAB as much as I've rewatched the LOTR trilogy.

And yes, Isi.
Yang is my life and love.
I was so lost.
Until I found him.
P.S
It's 6 times ![]()
And here I thought I was crazy for watching PMMM like 6-7 times and that's only 12 episodes and a movie X3
Like 4 of those times though I binged it all in 1 viewing though.

So then... are the first two movies worth watching, ever?

6?! I am disappoint Sim. I expected at least 8.
Like I've said before. FMA DOES have a stronger start, but by not addressing the government conspiracy that was hinted at and dropped (because Bones never planned the diverge at first despite what FMA fan boys wish to believe) and how it starts to fizzle near the end where FMAB get very strong as it goes on with the Promise Day trumping the climax of FMA by far which suffered from terrible writing, trying to be sad for the sake of sad (and failing) and Dante being a horrible antagonist.
Also like Chris, I don't like how FMA handled the homunculus at all.
I'm also nearly done with my 3rd LOTGH rewatch.
Gonna watch the entire JJBA again after it...
Yeah...
Oh by the way this sh*t all ends in September.
So I might as well live like Togashi until then.
This year has been great.
@House
to be fair tho' Promise Day climax trumps most climaxes.

How could I forget the Cane of Feelings?

Though I feel kinda bad having pressured you into keeping that deal knowing now how stripped for time you are...
Still. OUAT's at least worth it.
And I wish someone had made a deal with me back then for PMMM.
Better late than never at least!
Maybe one day I'll rewatch FMAB as much as I've rewatched the LOTR trilogy.
The very same! Nothing will ever be as rewatched as my extended edition LOTR trilogy runs.

They remove content to condense it more so the TV version is superior but they're still alright. It mostly fits into movie format quite well and is intended for people who already have seen the series.
Isi if you want FMA go to ANN? They bash FMAB on a daily bases, defend FMA and other nonsense.

Didn't the movie also add that infamous bench snuggle that resulted in a crap ton of gifs?
