I'm in a sci-fi mood of late so I've decided to give 2001 Nights a read.

Is it worth it?

No, they have an actual TV channel. It's 24 hours a day 7 days a week and it's nothing but FUNmation dubs of animes. It's awesome.

Yes, it's good serious science fiction
a series of interconnected short stories..though I felt it peaked too early with Lucifer Rising (with a clash between science and religion as people investigate a mysterious tenth planet and people in the expedition start dying..)

They have had other dubs on the channel in the past, not just Funimation dubs.

Oh good. I'd hate to have ordered a few of the mangas only to hear they're ****.

(I know I can just use mangafox or something but I prefer to have the physical copy)

Unhappy in the sense that it was a poor ending or unhappy in the sense that it didn't turn out how you would have preferred?

I'm of the latter variety; didn't like the fact that my fave ended up losing but accepted it for what it was.

Don't worry, everyone feels the same way about the ending. The creators of Death Note had a much better idea of what they were doing when it came to their next series Bakuman.

Anyway time for some anime news.

New Naruto movie actually looks like it could be somewhat good.

One Piece is getting a two hour remake of the Arlong Park arc.

Speaking of One Piece it's getting a new movie.
  
 

And Kuzan is going to be in it, so now people are going crazy over if this is canon or not, because this will be the first time Kuzan shows up since the time-skip.

Looks cool, Naruto gets to see more of his mother.

I just hope it's not as creepy as the manga was when he got to meet her...

All Naruto movies thus far have been completely worthless, but i'm actually interested in this one too. 
Then again Kishimoto clearly isn't taking it very seriously, that, or he forgot that genetics do not work this way. 
But i guess we'll see.

Code Geass, then Bakuman and then Trigun. I haven't seen Eureka 7.

lol What do you mean "only" 366 episodes? Is that sarcasm?
The only anime serieses that have lasted that long that i can think of are Dragon Ball(on it's entirety), Naruto, One Piece, Detective Conan, Pokemon and i believe there was another one, but i don't remember.
That it lasted that long should be considered a privilege.
