I really don't care about anything that is going on and the main character is annoying me far more than others. Hell, I tolerated Shinji from Evangelion but this guy just... frustrates me, I hope it gets better because this is just underwhelming as all hell.

It picks up near the end with some of the fights. If you don't like the characters not much will happen to change your opinion later though.

If nothing else, I liked the
intro song. But seriously, most of the time it just felt like an anime
version of "Species" but without the cool H.R. Giger designed
creatures.

I also really liked that animation style.

The main issue I had with it was that it was just a ton of violent shock value.

Elfen Lied was beautiful, disturbing, but I loved it. That dog scene though... I can't watch that again.

One question I've had in mind recently... Who was perv at the first place?
The writers and painters of anime/manga or the urban of Japan?

And I can say the perversion of most of the anime has become worse around the year 2000 when using computer for animation had become common. For example hentai, ****ty school girls with big boobs etc. I only watch a small amount of anime series thanks to this.

My questions are clear ... It's not like I want to know that 1200*1200=? or H2O + So3 =>? cuz anyone can find the answer easily. I want the human related questions to be answered.

The simple answer to my questions is that some perv writers/drawers found some perv fans, fed them and seduce other people to like these stuff.

Or as very complicated as it may seem, it's the cultural policy of USA in japan to make a super modern country with new hobbies and "art" and therefore get rid of Buddhist and/or hostile traditions of Japan (or if these kind of art and hobby existed at the first place, then USA supported it and made it an industry).

I like Kill la Kill.

That is all.

And generally, anime perviness is done for comedic value, from what people have told me.

Why? That was a pretty decent anime.

Berserkver vs. Archer. The most epic moment of that entire anime.
Everything after that pales in comparison.
And yes, Shiryou Emiya is a main protagonist I'd like to strangle.
Archer >>>>>>>>>>> Emiya
Why does Archer have to die in all the routes? If the writers actually had balls (and brains) they'd kill off Emiya and run the show with Archer. But hey, we got to have the 15-year old idiot hero.
Lord knows there's a shortage of them in anime...

Frak you anime.... Sometimes you anger me so.

Aye, the problem though would be ... if we had either smart protagonists or pragmatic antagonists the show would be over in like five episodes.

So am I the only one who prefers the original music of Dragon Ball (Z)? It's orchestral and awesome. The US version was kinda heavy-rock/metal, so I shut it up and used the other dub that has the OST.

The link (is this one something illegal? cuz people have treated me like statue since I posted it somewhere else):

Yes, it qualifies as piracy. I would suggest finding a YouTube link to the music i.e. here and edit out the link above.

Is it just me or would a battle between the Captain in his wolf form and Baskerville have been awesome? Just imagine, this

Wow. What Anime is that from? It looks pretty impressive.

Now that someone made a 2018 Mars mission thread, I got reminded of an anime and I'll just do some public service.

Sci-fi fans, watch Planetes! You copy?

Yes, the main heroine can be annoying, just try to ignore her.

Edit: I'll elaborate a bit, it's about (somewhat) realistic portrayal of space development in the near future (2075) through the eyes of a space debris removal team.

Didn't like Fate/Stay Night to the end. I've heard Fate/Zero is a lot better, though.

Decided to start Shiki because of my friend's recommendations, it isn't the greatest but I plowed through 19 episodes and... well, yeah.

Junior Monk, Sunako, Tatsumi, and Megumi are my favorite Shiki characters. Stopped liking the doctor after a certain point. You probably know what I mean.

As to Fate/Zero, watch it. It's amazing. I recently watched up to the 21st episode and holy nut balls it's insane. This guy right here:

Say whaaaaat? He went all, "By any means necassary" and totally shed the humanity he was trying to protect. Not that I don't think they should have done something, or that the data he gained wasn't helpful, but the way it happened was like... nowai.

Then again, I'm one of the only people I know who was actually satisfied with the state of things at the end of the show, so I might just have a bias for one side of the fence.

I mostly have confined myself as far as Mecha regarding Anime.

0079 Mobile Suit gundam, most of its offshoots and etc.

The UC gundam universe is a pretty interesting place.

Not to say i haven't watched plenty of other stuff from shonen to magic girl, its just Mecha was the genre that caught both my eye and interest.

Which is a plus in my book.

and totally shed the humanity he was trying to protect.

He wasn't really trying to protect humanity, he cared more about the village as a whole. He was frustrated with everyone he couldn't save, it got to him and he did everything to protect it. He didn't care if the village was too dumb to live.

Not that I don't think they should have done something, or that the data he gained wasn't helpful, but the way it happened was like... nowai.

You're telling me this scene wasn't absolutely fantastic? :P

The same picture from above but in gif format:

I didn't care much for the ending, I didn't like Seishin and couldn't understand his logic throughout the series and the ending just made me hate him even more.

The whole "humans are monsters" theme fell rather short when I basically cheered/smirked at everything they were doing, only raising a brow during one particular scene in episode 20.5 because it felt unnecessary.

Personally, I would've prefered a last stand ending over what actually happened.

Whelp, I never thought I would end up posting in this thread but I got completly addicted to anime after Catherine and Persona 3. I started watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood after a friend reccomended it to me. Also got back into the more mainstream anime Beyblade (Since I never fully watched all the seasons when I was a kid >_>)

There's a difference between mainstream and shows targeted at a younger audience. :P

Tho yeah, I've never fully gotten why many cultures still don't see animation as a form of cinema that's got even more possibilities to it than live-action. The regular "oh it's animated, thus it would suit little kids more" is just plain dumb.
