Well.... kind of? I mean, at it's core, Monogatari consisted of thoughtful dialogues, wordplay, and interesting characters, all being frequently interrupted by awkward fanservice, while SnO seems to consist of generic, monotonous fluff being frequently interrupted by awkward fanservice, so I guess they're sort of similar?

You'd have to get farther into it. 

 

Besides, in all honesty the manga's plot was done better. You're supposed to have fun with the show, not examine it's plot and such like it's PMMM. Everyone except for one person I've spoken to outside of this thread liked it. Provided, the SnO universe does have some things I've found interesting like the Angeloids, the Synapse and the Angels and their connection to Humanity. 

 

Plus it takes a bit for it to pick up. 

 

You actually had Melan, more of the Harpies and Chaos, etc etc. While I do love the anime for enjoyment and fun,

 

Manga >>>>>> Anime. Even several other SnO fans will say this. Still though... the anime was missing key elements from the manga, like for example by now you might have gotten the hint about Sugata. This is explored more in the manga. I cannot remember if it's explored in Eternal My Master but I'm not watching that unless I want to cry. Again.

And Ikaros does show some development. But it's takes a good while.

Are power levels really important to the narrative's quality?

 

Does fanservice represent something more than just bewbs?

 

Is the ability to destroy an entire city with a single punch the defining element of a character?

 

All these questions we've never bothered to ask.

 

But Impulse has.

1-They're different from mine. You guys help me flesh mine out, not change them. I'll always love SnO more than likely. 

 

2-Interesting... perhaps what shows one likes, what they find appealing, etc etc.

 

3-Not really. This isn't Dragon Ball Z. While it can be a part of a character, there's far more to it than that. 

 

4-Yes. However I like breasts and don't mind fanservice, provided it doesn't destroy the plot. However, if it becomes part of the plot I don't mind and actually can find it amusing. (Unless it's Freezing, but the last four episodes made it up)

 

5-No. There are many things that make up a character, like personality, traits, their emotions, their role in the story, the situations they are found in, the challenges they may have to overcome, whatever it be destroying an enemy, slaying a monster or making friends at school or finding a romantic relationship. Their story behind them as well, and their past and present. There's more to a character than if she could nuke an entire country with a bow. Also, development, like an emotionless character developing emotions, etc etc.

Both Rokka no Yuusha and Ushio to tora are pretty good. Rokka has more potential but Ushio has an undeniable old school charm to it.

Just came a across it now cos he's Gibraltarian and posted it on facebook.

After hearing just so much good about the series I hope to be able to start playing 999 quite soon. It seems to have just what I want right now so VLR on the Vita might absolutely become reality.

Oh and I'm curious what that intense battle will be that Fidite was talking about next episode. We got a little bit of Adlet vs Hans in this one but I'm sure Adlet will manage to escape somehow and get his weapons back.

We had guests so I didn't watch anything.

 

Probably gonna cut my sleep to watch one episode.

I'm watching Kaiba and Oregairu currently, along with Gundam Wing and other animes.
