So I've been watching Angel Beats, it's pretty decent but it's... kind of rushed, possibly due to the thirteen episode limit and the fact that there's quasi-filler within those thirteen episodes.

I think it was supposed to be longer, but it got hit with a budget cut. Coulda been a lot better if it were twice its running time.

Pretty sure FUNimation has it licensed. They tend to take a while to do anything with their licenses though.

I'm watching Gantz and I'm horrified at the bully. There is no way that such person could exist right? I know bullying has been a bit of an issue in Japan, but not on that scale surely? Stealing teeth as trophies?

Gantz is not exactly a great depiction of RL in any way but I am sure cases like that has happened. Gantz world is pretty dark in general.

The entire show is just so random, I'm just randomly looking at manga pages and what the **** is going on. Does it make sense as it goes by and does the action get any good?

Personally I hated the anime. For some reason they drag out everything to such horrible lengths that it kills the pacing. It takes a character an entire episode to die after getting fatally wounded. I thought the manga got pretty entertaining though, and it goes way, WAY further then the anime does.

Theres one arc in the manga that was pretty much 1 seasons worth of fighting in 1 match that had a creature worth 100 points if you killed it... that was pretty intense.
