Monster Musume was nice this week. While MON's intro half wasn't all that great in the chapters, the anime refreshed it a bit by making it animated.

 

It was nice seeing Papi's dad, and the Rachnera section was just as expected.

 

Next episode will probably be the most changed from the manga yet, since it is the sick chapter, and Rachnera wasn't in that. It also seems to be the whole chapter.

I'm sure he has his reasons.

Going from his previous posts, I recall he was finding the show to be too predictable and was expecting the recent episode to boost it up, which it didn't in his opinion. I don't think he dropped it because it was bad, but it wasn't doing enough good for him to keep watching, and concluded there are better shows to watch.

But he can share more light on the matter, or correct me if I am completely off the mark.

 

You're fairly spot on.

 

First 5 episodes had far too little progress and development on their own so I hoped that the twists that the show would naturally provide since it's a KEY production, that they would shake things up and make the show far less predictable.

Episode 6 was the most predictable episode that I might've encountered since I started watching anime. I saw it coming almost as soon as I saw the cast but I hoped KEY had enough creative spark to prove me wrong. The first 5 episodes only made me even more certain that I would be painfully correct. Now episode 6 left the show a tiny, tiny window to make the twist out to be something else than the overly used and painfully boring twist that it looked out to be. Episode 7 needed about 45 seconds to crush that hope and it's really at that point I could not convince myself that the time watching the show would be worth it. 

 

So it's not that the show itself is bad. It's probably decent enough in its own way and for those that enjoy it. Good for them but I need a show that I don't see 7 episodes in a row coming and where I feel the creative spark probably died drowning in some noodles.

I don't know who that is, but probably because they tried to be defiant against people scolding them for using an avatar someone was known for using (for 2 years).

 

That and a multitude of other reasons.

 

Again this is just speculation, since I don't remember that. Bad memory. Somebody get me a newer hard drive. This one's still using ball bearings to spin the 25 lb disc.
