Finished Angel Beats. Aside from the final few scenes, it showed they basically just hand-waved everyone else off. Great premise and cast ruined by how rushed it was, though I guess a longer length would've made it stale due to the fact that they're limited to one location and they can't have random plans without making it seem like filler.

The animation was pretty great but it suffered in certain scenes that were probably deemed non-essential in the sake of protecting their budget, the soundtrack is pretty decent but going from the dubbed voice actors to japanese singing every ten minutes was frustrating but the opening was glorious.

I'd give out recommendations to a few of my friends but only after they've watched Clannad or Haruhi, they're roughly the same at the core but done better.

They discover that their next target is the Buddha statue. I love Kei, surprised what he just did in that back room, what are the chances of that? I love his ****** like personality.

I'm watching Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo, and i'm so stressed out. Misato (with her new look) not trusting Shinji after the near-third impact hurts me :(

There's a time skip in the Rebuilds correct? 3.0 is like 14 years after the almost 3rd impact? I wanna watch it, but I need the dub or it'll be inconsistant. I jelly mad yo.

Yeah, 14 years, which is a lot to take in. Shinji is still 14, but technically 28, just like Asuka. It's insane

I'm starting episode 8 of PNNN. This is one of the fresher animes I've seen in a while. You can just feel the tension and momentum building up to something big. ****s about to go down.

I felt they should've ignored the whole "curse" thing and make them age, it would've been great to see Shinji starting to look like his father.

Yeah, don't want to give much away but episode 10 is when I thought the anime went from good to great. The buildup before that is pretty interesting too.

One of the better series made in recent years with an amazing soundtrack and discussions that rank up there with Evangelion.

Hey, hey, hey, hey...hey. Those are some of the most well developed and intricate characters ever to grace a 12 episode series. And those outfits are jes' 2 kewt.

Mhm,the yellow one seems to have the most * ahem* well developed and intricate characters, so 'm guessing you didn't like that one?

Honestly, Madoka nailed it's pacing for twelve episodes. Anymore or any less and it probably wouldn't have impressed me as it did, everything was just right and there was absolutely no filler. It's probably why I love it so much, really.

Plus its deceptively timid when you start watching it. Makes you think that everything is ok and boring and then takes you for an emotional ride.

Treacherous hillsides. I'm happy to see you've learned well my young padawan. Anyway, Madoka > Sayaka = Kyouko > Mami > Homura. Now, Homura is actually the best character, and she's voiced by the actress that voices based Senjougahara, but as is necessary, she must be made to suffer.

Finished the first episode of PMMM myself (I'd like to watch more but sinus headache blarghblargh) and you can definitely color me intrigued. It's funny because I'm mainly unspoiled beyond the idea that it's a deconstruction of the magical girl genre and there were so many points even in the first episode where I kept thinking 'I can't wait until things get turned on its head. :DDDDD'

I'm hoping I feel better tomorrow so I can power through the series proper and then look into the movie. Very much looking forward to actual discussion on it!
