It honestly feels a bit daft to keep coming back here after I finish a show up and having nothing to say bar singing its praises.
But... eh. I loved it. I could perhaps look at these shows more critically and find a few negatives... The sometimes lazy animation or it taking a while to truly 'get' the show in Kill la Kill's case. But it'd just be a bit pointless when considering that, like PMMM and FMAB before it, my personal enjoyment of it rates at a solid 10 in my book.
It did take a while to grow on me, but I pushed through the rest of it very quickly as soon as it did.
A top soundtrack, a strangely likeable cast of characters, both a thematic and visual style entirely of its own... And there's even a surprising amount of deeper meaning and clever metaphor going on underneath all the immediate zaniness and fan service. Never judge a book by its cover, after all.
It did also manage the difficult task of eliciting more laughs than Chu2 has thus far. (Dead on with that one, Sim.)
Spoiler
Though it of course wasn't satisfied without a hit to the feels before it finished up. Senketsu.
All in all, it has me wondering how far I'll get through this list before I find something I don't love, let alone enjoy.

If you want to come here and complain about something instead of praising it, you could try Tokyo Ghoul

Well we are kinda throwing diamonds at you. Amazing shows one after another!
KLK was one of the first shows that I watched and it taught me the lesson to not be too quick to judge a show from how it looks. Looks can be very deceiving! Besides that the show is just crazy and do not even for a second to pretend otherwise and such honesty with itself is absolutely appreciated. Outrageous and eccentric, KLK is a show that I will always love and the longest remaining show on my top 10 list. It's done well!

My Fate route points of hnnngh are days 9, 10, 11 and the basement.
Sure it doesn't completely make up for the fact that I had to put the route down for months during the time leading up to those points but they certainly made the experience a lot better for sure.
HF spoilers, UBW ones too cause I might as well say it. Vroom is the only one that shouldn't read because Chewin is past this point:
Spoiler
The bloodfort situation is waaaaaaay up there for me as far as points that make me hnnnnnnnngh go. So imagine my shock when I was mentally preparing variables come UBW, and the situation was very different. T_T HF makes up for it in the grandest case though.
but Chewin, don't read this one. Fate 10 mention but HF endgame mention too:

So knowing that Bellerophon was going to be used in Rider vs Black Saber? Ask House, it was basically a countdown to me squealing.
I know, I know, this stuff will come up proper once I get to that promised wall of text but I needed to gush with how bleh this week is.
Is that 'bad enough that I can find criticism in it' or just ' soul-destroyingly bad', a la SnO?
Tokyo Ghoul is like the genius that never rises to his full potential. It has all the pieces but someone got lazy and tried to use scissors to make them fit... and now they won't.

Yup, I've only just watched enough shows to even start a top ten, but I get the feeling it'll be staying there too. I can't imagine anything quite like it will be coming up, that's for sure.
And well said with the honesty bit. I can think of a few shows that don't do themselves any favours by not doing that, and instead end up a bit mixed up tonally (Kancolle and Neptunia being amongst them).

Pretty much, what amazed me about Tokyo Ghouls was that so many cool ideas went into it, and yet, it almost felt like they had gone out of their way to make it boring. I also had the same problem with it that I had with Dragon Age II, in that I found most of the main characters very annoying.
It's an exceptionally flawed show. Not awful or without redeeming qualities but it's a great case of completely missing serious potential

Ugh well... I'd definitely argue that a show that either starts great and quickly runs its course or just outright squanders its potential, is a whole lot worse than just being naff from the get-go. That stuff frustrates me to no end.
Read the intro to Homura Tamura last night. Madoka is such a troll and gangster in it. I'll write a mini review when I finish it although make no mistake, this manga is not meant to be taken even remotely seriously.
