Well... I know why Ghost likes it.

Hey, hey, hey, hey...hey. Those are some of the most well developed and intricate characters ever to grace a 12 episode series. And those outfits are jes' 2 kewt.

Mhm,the yellow one seems to have the most * ahem* well developed and intricate characters, so 'm guessing you didn't like that one?

Treacherous hillsides. I'm happy to see you've learned well my young padawan. Anyway, Madoka > Sayaka = Kyouko > Mami > Homura. Now, Homura is actually the best character, and she's voiced by the actress that voices based Senjougahara, but as is necessary, she must be made to suffer.

Homura, Madoka, Sayaka = Kyoko and then Mami. You know it to be true.

Well yeah, going by actual character. But Homura must suffer. You know this. It is requisite.

The Urobucher is a terrible human being, and all I hope for is that my fiction can be as incredibly sadistically incredible as his.

I read/watch the synopsis for Gantz.

Do I dare even read this?

Depends. Do you mind copious amounts of detailed violence for a fantasy/science fiction battle arena style setting?

I just finished episode ten. I f'n knew it! As soon as they revealed what type of power Homura had combined with how the first episode was, I knew it! Good episode.

Started watching Death Note despite everyone telling me to avoid it because of what happens in the second half, I'm enjoying it a lot so far and I'm disappointed because of it.

Yeah, that ^

Fianlly finished the series, the writers did a wonderful job wrapping things up and explaining them...and giving a teaser for the movie, which I will watch tomorrow.

My feels meter got filled up, so now I'm going to watch The Office and laugh them out. :wizard:

Yeah after the first couple episodes I had low expectations and I ended up been blown away. I saw the final movie in theaters a month after watching the TV series and oh man was that something. Its a series worth seeing on the big screen, and the third movie definitely left an impact on me.

Its great you checked it out though, let us know what you think after the movie ;)

Oh wow, I didn't know the movie came out so recently. The closest theater is a three to four hour drive. Hmmm. Maybe I can get a friend to help me out with a ride if I give him some gas money.

If not now, then eventually.

It only played in certain theaters for a couple days so I doubt it would be playing atm, unfortunately. Otherwise I would have gone more then once myself.

I watched it on the 15th, avoided all spoilers like the plague before going into it, which for that movie was a pretty good idea.

Wow. The thread actually feels alive once in a while. Fun!

I do dare to say if you have the option of seeing Eva subbed rather than dubbed, do it. The Japanese VA is best for it. Really amazing job they did, whilst the English staff is just meh. Moreso, I cannot watch the English version because of Shinji. All that flack you hear about him being the most annoying character? That's all from the dub. Also, some philosophical points and some of the pacing *does not* come across in the dub.

My point of reference: watched both. First tried the dub. Thought the show was cringe-worthy. Then tried the sub. Greatest anime. Then have occasionally tried the dub, and followed excruciating pain. Sorry.

As to Gantz - I loved the anime 'cause of the weird pacing. It's really nighmarishly psycho. Manga is just there for the story, which is definitely not why I'd watch such an out-there show.

No anime has never made me cry, although Ill admit I did get pretty choked up watching Madokas request to Homura during episode 10.

You need to watch more romantic drama.

Like I've metioned, I've made it through Anohana, Angel Beat, Madoka, Toradora (that actually had a few emotional parts) and many others.

The only notoriously sad anime I haven't watched is Clannad. I skipped it because of the art. Trigun and Madoka have taught me not to do that, lawlz.

And yeah Prince, manly man.

Keep telling yourself that, Hanar.

A manly man cries and finds no shame in such.

Didn't cry during any of those, those I felt rushed and lacking a certain pacing and build-up.

But you *should* most definitely try Clannad, Air TV and Kanon. I'd do it in that order. May you feel some tears wanting to be shed out.
