The very same. When I said it was flip-flopping with my emotions, that was a big part of it. That really ticked me off too, especially when the only snippet you see of that particular conversation is Yuuta telling her to take the eye patch off, then forcibly trying to make her do so. Its certainly true to what I said when I first started watching about never understanding the actions of some anime protagonists...

 

Plus, I had alarm bells ringing anyway since the start of the episode, after he tried to explain to himself that it wasn't that he thought she was attractive per se, but that he just saw her as vulnerable and wanted to help. Reminds me a lot of a route in Katawa Shoujo, if you've ever played that. I'd think it was a dumb attitude for a lot of reasons anyway, and it didn't work out too well in KS either.

 

 Hopefully things go fine for them both despite Yuuta's stupidity with that one.

True enough. I wouldn't want to anger Rikka's sister either.

 

The show certainly makes it out to be the right decision from everyone else's perspective. Nibutani of all people says quite sincerely that he made the right choice after all. I'll find out after watching a bit more tonight anyway, as I'm taking this one slowly.

 

And I'll never dislike a character for a few perceived goofs. He's only doing what he feels is best after all, even if I wouldn't have thought the same.

 

At any rate, I think Rikka's mother turning up at the school moments before had forced his hand.

Almost done with Durarara X2.

 

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with it. While I can appreciate what they are trying to do, I can't find myself to care much about most characters aside from Celty and Shizuo.

That's her rival Komi. They should be friends as they both like Yu-chan and the same stuff, but are bitter enemies because she has a crush on Tomoko's brother, Tomiki which Tomoko basically ruined. I've been dying for a season 2, especially because I want to see her and Komi fight and bicker.
