Tread lightly... I tried being sadistic and apparently dolphins don't count. You already seem to be corrupted and therefore our plan might not even need to be carried out, but I shall carry it out anyway and earn my place as Gravis' Kahai.

I finally found a song from 1995-97 from a anime im sure some of you have heard of and loath, however I was a pre-teen back then and I loved every action oriented anime I could find, but more important and relative to this post was my love for music at that time, and this anime had one song that became a instant hit with me, i had a friend record it to cassette with his brothers Talk Boy from my VHS copy of the 2nd episode of Gowcaizer (Voltage Fighter) the OVA.
I'm bringing this up because when the internet became more accessible to me and media sharing became more prevalent I tried finding this song, and couldn't find it anywhere on the net. I found people who knew the name of it, but no one posted or even gave a clip of the song anywhere. I was distraught, however 7 years ago i joined a website called the "Final Fantasy Shrine" that had a lively anime community, i pleaded with the community for someone to find the original Japanese soundtrack and post it, 6 later someone finally did. It would be 1 year later until i found the website again and just so happened to find the OST posted by someone. I found my old account and was surprised to see that someone had actually posted to my plea the very OST I was looking for someone technically someone did it for me. I now believe there really is some good out there in this world, I want to share this song with anyone who might like it, especially in the anime community, because it had such a positive effect on my mood back in those days, i still love listening to it now, especially since i no long have the VHS or the Cassette.. hopefully now it will stay available to everyone from now on.

Anyway, finally got around to watching it. Yesterday. All of it.
It's great.
Things may go the way you expect in a lot of ways, but you don't find yourself upset when they do. At least, I didn't. Well, I might have, but not because of that. (Really though, I'm dead inside.) But I went in expecting it to be predictable, so finding it less so than expected may color my appreciation with a different palette than someone going in blind. I think it does a fairly good job making you doubt even a little bit which way it'll go, despite the outcome seeming predetermined by all the laws of anime drama. Though I'm usually hesitant to make certain predictions about anything anyway.
First impression of most characters is that they seem like cut-outs, but they grow into something that feels authentic, save for one really who never develops past her introduction.
Obvious why all the anime music nerds on youtube were nerding out about it. Aside from all the piano and violin music that goes without saying, the OPs and EDs are quite good too.
Still, 0 imps/10, no fanservice or asses kicked whatsoever.
I don't know where that terrible rating system came from tho.

It's nice to see a show that's widely praised and actually deserves it for once.

I think it does.
But it's a bit like Nagi no Asukara.
Evidently not for everyone.

Hey everyone. Let's talk about what a great guy Kevan is. He's smart, appreciates good stories, helps make everyone feel comfortable and welcome, has captured the heart of Rah, he's a me a the at with a heart of gold and an actually brain and the gorilla glue that holds this thread together.
And he's all mine so none get any ideas!

That would be bad

The "captured Rahs heart" bit should give it away

Already got the next anime on my list: Kami Nomi zo Shiro Sekai
A guy famous on the internet as the God of Conquest/Dating sims, who in real life is an introverted otaku that hates women (well, mostly the 3D versions). He's subsequently drafted by a lesser devil to conquer some hearts (escaped souls).
Show is apparently all about dismantling Dating/Eroge games' and heroines' stereotypes.
Should prove to be fun.

Now that I'm done with SnO, I need something good to watch. What do you think, LotGH? Chu2?

If you haven't already, Hataraku Maou-sama.
Otherwise, you've seen Gunslinger Girls?

Chu2 is cute and awesome. But I'd say LotGH would be better for getting a quality story into your system. Plus it will help you appreciate it more since you're just coming off that garbage.

Toradora!
Just trust me on this:
It should absolutely replace Romeo and Juliet as part of the school curriculum.

I've seen Hataraku Maou-sama, and, well, I guess it was kind of funny, but the premise got old long before it ended. Never seen Gunslinger Girls though,
Toradora!
Just trust me on this:
Can I though? The last guy who recommended Toradora to me thought that Mirai Nikki was the greatest thing ever.
