Does this thing have ships that actually sail and aren't left to rot, Fidite?
I wouldn't exactly say it ships (or at least, I can't give a definitive answer without spoiling a major plot element), but some characters do have romantic feelings for another. And other characters have other relationships with another.
Now, the thing that I'm reluctant to talk about is mostly because I couldn't avoid spoiling myself a bit, but I'm still not in the clear about it to a degree where I'd feel confident I'd be able to answer it, so even though it certainly seems like a ship setting sail, I don't know if it'll come crashing down upon some cliffs right out the harbour, or if it actually heads port savely.
Due to the suspense genre, I'm really not keen on giving away much, because spoiler dangers. Read the LN if you want to know more (there's six released volumes and the translation project I'm reading is around three quarters into volume 4, so you can actually get pretty far into it (I'm close to the end of volume 3 myself, so halfway through basically)). Also, the translation is being updated frequently as far as the update history shows, so I don't expect to be waiting for years until everything's done. Plus I reckon the anime is helping along with motivation on the project.
And ships apart, I do HEAVILY recommend Rokka no Yuusha. It's a great read so far and only sooooo much away from an unconditional seal of recommendation and still has plenty potential to grow. The translation itself is likewise high quality.
Check it out!
