I was fine with the post 50 episodes. It was after the needless timeskip that things got really bad honestly.

But it had timeskips all over the show.

 

Like back in the first training arc.

 

It took 4 months off screen for the main cast to become stronger.

 

And then after the first tournament arc there was a 1 year timeskip.

 

And the 6 month timeskip when they went into space.

 

So you can't get mad at the big 5 year timeskip that happened about 700 episodes in.

 

Because it got bad after the first 50 episodes anyway!

 

It lost its heart and themes.

 

And of course the smart politics that it could of had went nowhere.

 

Also I'm sorry but the rival character was just as stupid and awful as the main character so I really don't care about his death.

Yeah but it was fun is a cheesy sorta way you know? After the 5 year one things went back to serious and all the characters got all grumpy and emo.
