Finished episode 3 of PMMM. Rolling around in sadface oh so gleefully. The change in the closing theme even does a fantastic job of getting the idea across that the tone is going to shift.

Pretty much, yeah. I like how the intro was innocent and light hearted well the closing was much more of a darker tone.

Did you think Shokichi was killed at that one point? Because for like a split second I thought he was done for right there and then.

Tbh i thought he died up until the reveal of team Russia's intervention. I begrudgingly accepted his possible death after remembering the crapload of cool characters who were killed off previously.

Sorry, but could Asura's Wrath count as a anime. It has the whole episodic structure down, has a anime like style, and is kinda just QTE the game,,, but would it count?

No. It would count as a video game though.

Huh, well hopefully it turns out better than the Alfheim Online arc, that part was painful to watch at times.

I don't know how the manga goes, but it seems like it'd be hard to recapture the tension in the first half of the first season with that particular situation they were in. Made the elfcest half pale in comparison a bit, among other reasons.

What is with eye patches on anime women? I've noticed a trend going on with it.

Generally, I find that if a person says that they are not interested in anime, then they will not be made to be interested. Anime really is an acquired taste, and it needs to be acquired early.

That's at least what I've noticed. People are either comic book fans, manga fans or the person who makes fun of the comic book and manga fans.

You what aquired taste means?
It means you have to aquire it, it won't come to you.
People who don't watch anime will not learn to like anime - it has little to do with aquireing it early, and it has all to do with being open-minded enough and just sitting and watching for a while, untill it sets in.

I heard that from Watamote, what does that mean? Someone with no friends and socially awkward?

http://en.wikipedia....iki/Moe_(slang)

Basically, it's a characteristic that is subject to a (anime-)culturally specific fetish-type affection, like eye-patches, (big) glasses or whatnot. Otaku-slango. Otakus being anime-fans, mostly nerdy, geeky, fanboysand ecchi-loving fellows.

Yet in the West, everyone having an interest in anime calls himself an otaku (tho does know what's moe, tsundere etc). But it's less introverted and 2D-focused in the West. Nowadays, even in Japan, the typically kinda-insulting term "otaku" is very ok it seems.

Well, that's why I said that high school is generally the best time to get into it. Generally you are more open minded and you'll be more likely to run across like minded people.

No one in my high school watched anime.

I didn't start watching anime until my junior year of college. I even joined an anime club or some sort but all they did was watching Naruto.

Oh wow. Yeah, I had a pretty big anime club at my high school. I never went though. It was sort of easy for me to find people outside of the club who watched anime. Now that I'm in college, it seems like every quiet kid watches anime. Sort of a shame. They seem like interesting people.

So, I'm slowly making my way through Clannad. Ichinose's arc has been pretty interesting.
