Reezy what arc are you up to in Sun-Ken Rock?

I haven't been able to speed through since I've been multitasking my entertainment between anime, manga, video games, and my music. I'm only on chapter 6 I believe.

Someone told me to check out Trigun. Anyone ever seen it?

I've seen a little bit so far. I enjoy it. The main character is pretty funny, imo.

Welp. Finally getting around to properly binging the rest of PMMM. Just finished episode 7 and if anyone needs me, I'll just be over here sobbing in the corner.

I would tell you that things start getting better for them after that point, but I would be lying.

@TMH

Have you watched The Rebellion Story yet? I noticed some low quality subs for it up, not sure if your going to wait for a better quality version.

:(((((((((((((( That devil face says you're going to roll around in my tears, Hanar. It's hilarious to me cause I knew going into it that it was a deconstruction and of course seeing folks say it brought them to tears. I figured I was ready and would gleefully roll around in my *own* tears but nope, just ouch.

That's a huge compliment though. Some of my favorite pieces of media are such because they bring emotions out and it's safe to say that even if I do fill a trough with tears by the end of it, this series easily could worm its way into my favorites list.

@ isi

I think I'd rather just wait for a high quality version. If I can get a good version, then I'm usually willing to wait for it. Though, if it takes a reeeeally long time, then I'll settle for fansubs.

@ calamity

Oh yeah. Episode 10 punched me right in the feels. I really enjoyed it though. It was my favorite episode. If you think the series is great now, then you should really enjoy the final episodes. They are on another level, imo.

Episode 10 is basically when you get to see just how bad things really are. It has a couple emotional moments for sure.

So, Isichar, do you feel Rebellion stacks up to the series?

Personally, I loved it. Seeing it in theaters without knowing anything going into it really added to my experience.

The movie adds something to the story, even though it may not be what you expect or wanted. The story takes some bold choices that will probably surprise you just as much if not more then the tv series did.

Edit: also TV series OST > Movie OST.

This was the first Anime movie I saw in theaters since Pokemon 2000. They seriously need to screen these type of things more here in the west. The animation was amazing on the big screen.

Had to order tickets like a month in advance, lol.

Finished 10 after having to take a little emotional break after 9. I'll try to be as vague as possible for spoiler's sake but both 9 and 10 do an amazing job of working in one of my favorite storytelling techniques, never trust your first few impressions of a character. Oh boy.

I'm going to try and finish the series tonight. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Rebellion. Isichar. I did a little reading and I'm unsure if I'll track down the first two movies since they are just retellings. If any of you have seen them and still recommend viewing, then I'll probably look into it. Much like Hanar, I'm going to try to wait for a good quality version of Rebellion to come about, but it'll all depend on timing.

I stalled on Clannad so I've got to finish it, but once I do, however long that takes, I'll jump on this PMMM everyone's on about

Just a heads up, some chapters are not work friendly. (understatement)

I noticed. Ran across a few panels already that are for mature audiences only.

The movies do not really add any scenes that is not in the tv series, it actually removes a few so I doubt you would have much reason to watch the movies right away unless you loved the series so much you just have to watch it a second time. I watched the first two movies on bluray at a friends house on his 62'' before the third movie was released to hype myself up and overall it fit really well in the movie format, some of the best animation I have ever seen (I dont normally watch much on a 62'' TV with bluray though).

It really is worth waiting for a decent quality version.

I ended up sitting out watching the last two episodes of PMMM last night. Kind of decided I wanted to go into it emotionally rested so that I can better appreciate them. Just trying to wake up right now so after that I'll probably start up episode 11.

Since Prince is thinking about starting the series, I'll probably do the reverse and give Angel Beats! a shot once my brain has settled. Such a glutton for the feels. :P

I feel like my enjoyment of Clannad is less than it could be because I started it while still emotionally affected by Angel Beats!, so do take the time to rest if necessary.

From the Anime/Manga God I mentioned his work (Astro Boy) above I've watched 'Kimba the White Lion' in my late childhood. It was good.

The funny thing is Disney stole Kimba's character, called it Simba and made the Lion King!
