I will say though, I never imagined Nadeko's VA for Onodera. Not that it doesn't fit, but I always thought she'd have a slightly more motherly tone based on the manga. Still, based Shaft's adaptation of the first chapter was enough to shrink my scrote to microscopic proportions. Here's hoping the anime goes all the way to the Romeo and Juliet arc.
And tell me I'm not the only one sacrificing newborns to the Lord of Light in joyous response to ClariS and kz teaming up for the OP. And with Satoru Kosaki doing the music, it's like OreImo all over again.

You can definately see the old art style and the animations are well done. The action is nice, though not on a comparable level with gems like "Sword of the Stranger" for example.
But it has a ninja hunchback with a giant wasp nest in his back, so any arguments against the anime are invalid.

I think Kana Hanazawa's voice is suitable for a young character with a more mature personality.
I just love her voice espcially as Kuroneko in Oreimo and Mikan in To Love-Ru.

Aside from Attack on Titan, which I've already read the manga of, what was good in the last year?
(And avoiding moe, of course.)

Well, after a long enough time in a country with poor internet, I'm looking forward to getting back in a few weeks and catching up on anime of, oh, the last 8-9 months.

Also watched the first episode of Nisekoi. I thought it was ok. But I will need to watch some more before I form any solid opinions.
Is there anything else thats just started up recently that is worth checking out?

There's Nobunagun, Noragami, and No-Rin. Whether they're worth checking out is up to you.Isichar wrote...

Going to check out Noragami, mainly because I wouldn't mind a decent light hearted fantasy. Thanks!

Tough call.
I'd suggest Sword of the Stranger, Samurai 7, Ruroni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo, Afro Samurai and Gintama, in that order. Don't care about the others. Ninja Scroll should be good as well.
Oh, and if you'd care for something more original, I'd suggest Kemonozume.
