And it's not the kind of happy ending that makes you sigh in disbelief of how unbelievably cheesy it is, it's the kind of happy ending that makes sense and totally within the setting's tone.
I really enjoyed Ghost, it was really fun to watch, and yes, you do have to pay attention, but I feel its exaggerated a little, the whole "you have to be super intelligent and sharp to understand the story." Not exactly a quote, but when I was searching for 'mature anime' I came across a poster who sounded like Ghost was the most complicated thing since understanding women.
What it does is confuse you with all the damned names. If you're not into modern politics (if that's the term for it) you'll have a hard time remembering "chief of defence's sectary's dog washer's car owner's Yakamashi's son's right hand man's" name. Also, there are a lot of corporations and political parties that get mentioned a lot, but only once in their full title, you'll usually get abbreviation like NHS and ISSA or PPUC or whatever, so it's kind of hard to keep track of all them at once.
So yeah, your attention is needed, if not you'll get confused, and if you do, don't worry, you'll be able to piece the puzzle later on.
The characters were great and the little robot things were cute, though I think they could have done a better job with their dubs, jesus they were annoying at times with their voices.
All in all I really liked it, so I'm glad I watched it. Though I enjoyed Cowboy Bepob a lot more, but that's because modern politics and corporate intrigue (is that the term for it?) Doesn't really flow with me as much as personal conflicts.
Plus, feudal politics is a lot more fun xD

There's another 26 episode season called 2nd Gig btw, if that's not what you're referring to right now.
Nah, it was Stand Alone Complex I was watching, I heard it's a prequel... so not really interested there. Is there a sequel to this season though?

Spoilers here, btw....
Who sent that leak to the Secretary General Yakushima?
How didn't Batoa know that Matoko was a spare, well, the one that got her head blown off? Didn't they leave together?
Who was that guy at the end who... did he plant a bomb? Anyway, he tried to kill Serano.
And I don't fully understand the whole assassination attempt in the earlier episodes. Who was that and why did he try to do it?

2nd GIG is the second season of Stand Alone Complex, and a direct sequel to the first season. They refer back to the Laughing Man case, for example.

Oh, cool! I thought it was a prequel!
I was going to watch Wolf and Spice next, but f*ck it, I'm in the mood for some Ghost hehe.

Though I have heard that it's pretty devisive. It pissed off a lot of people.
I loved it but I tend to be the guy who likes what people hate and hates what people like.

I can respect that.
The thing is it was sort of meant to be hated. Its not like Gen and Shinbo are at all surprised by the reaction. It was designed to upset people and it succeeded. In a series like Madoka did people really want a continuation that was just straightforward and simple?

I can't wait until they do a Meguca Rebellion.
Spoilers for the main series for those who haven't watched it yet.
