The second season was aired in chronological order along with the episodes from the first season mixed in it.

You can try watching the first season in its original airing order if you want, but that means you'll have to pick out the episodes from the second season and watch them separately which is a pain in the a** to do.

Well that's the VN artwork, but I get the point. How about Psycho-Pass? It's set in a cyberpunk future. Where a dystopian society uses a computer system to measure a person's mental state. If their mental health starts to become poor they have to see a therapist. If their mental health stays poor they are regarded as criminals.

You basically follow a group consisting of two cops and five criminals that go around stopping latent criminals from committing crimes. The cops carry a weapon that uses the computer system to determine whether the person needs to be killed, taken down non-lethally, or ignored.

So I'm reading these light novel translations. Though it looks like it was written (or translated) by someone who isn't that good, I do enjoy the dialogue and character interaction.

Nothing pisses me off more that an incomplete story, especially one I was really enjoying. So I'll bear through some crappy descriptions and awkward dialogue just to get more Holo and Lawrence banter.


Seriously, who the hell uses "impoliteness" ?? Sometimes it's like someone is being very pretentious. However, it must be hard translating these novels, so kudos to the guy/gal who did it and thank you so much for continuing on the story xD

"Impoliteness" sounds more like a translator program than anything a human mind would say. "Rudeness" would be the first thing coming to my mind.

If so, expect to see such translations more often, because it means the guy who did it was more reliant on a translator program than own language proficiency.

I think multiple people were working on it. Some paragraphs are written very well, especially when Lawrence goes onto how the economy works and the politics surrounding it, you'd think it was written by Martin due to the prose. But then the next paragraph you have something that makes you sigh.

But I'm reading it for the story, the prose can go to hell xD as long as it's readable I'm okay with it, despite it annoying me somewhat :D

I don't know whether to call Samurai Flamenco a work of art or a trainwreck, but either way I'm loving every second of it. I can't wait to see how crazy it gets in the last 5 episodes.

Samurai Flamenco is an ok show for what it's worth. A fun one with the added benefit of surprises and a homage to Sentai (Power Ranger) flicks.

@Mad Hanar - I'd recommend watching them as in the C column here. And for Haruhi, as you've probably noticed, I recommend the dub. It's better than the original in my opinion.

I read 100 pages of volume seven only to find out that the entire story was just back history with no relevance to the main plot.

Can you guys imagine if Bleach had the same pacing as Kill La Kill, it would be one of the best shows ever. It never fails to amaze me at just how little actually happens in a chapter of Bleach. The ending of the last chapter was kind of cool, too bad it will probably take half of next chapter just to show the Bankai getting released.

I can see it now: 1 page to show Rukia swinging her sword, 1 blank page with her bankais name written in the middle, 2 side by side pages of a huge explosion in soul society, 2-3 pages of how shocked everyone is over the turn of events... ect. ect.

I just checked out 'Bleach.' It seems pretty popular but the anime is like 300 episodes plus.

Every good anime I've seen (which has been ALL of them thus far) have been rather short. 20 episodes, forty, thirty etc... perhaps that's why they're so good. You never have 'fillers' there is always something happening, always things developing. The pace is fast, but it never diminishes from how clever the story-telling is. Just like Death Note, for example, or Code Geass.

Perhaps this is why Bleach suffers? I wouldn't know, but it's just a guess. So many episodes will obviously lead to that. But anyway, look at TWD, not an anime, sure, but it does suffer from LOTS of unnecessary fillers and dragged out scenes... but that's more a product of bad writing than structure.

Bleach is like what Walking Dead would become if it went on for 15+ seasons.

I think the pacing is what bothers me the most about Bleach lately, I literally feel like some most chapters are just trying to waste time until the next chapter. And the worse part is theres no reason it should still be going on in the first place other then how popular it still is, seeing as how they wrapped up the main story.

I'm inclined to agree but I will not stop gushing over Rukia's Bankai.

Goes to show that Bleach can actually have some badass moments, particularly when it comes to the fighting. As I said in a earlier post though, I am just worried they are going to take this badass moment and drag it out as much as possible.

But yeah I thought that was pretty badass too, even if Bankais are not nearly as 'OMG' worthy as they use to be.

I was always a bit confused as to why so many characters didn't use their Bankai's.

Shunsui Kyoraku didnt even use his on the #1 Espada which is pretty sad when you think about it. Supposedly the strongest hollow, other then Yami (LOL) apparently and he gets taken out with a Shikai like a ****...

I guess i can get why Aizen didn't.

Until the Hygoku rejected him utterly he was basically a living, breathing diety that didn't need to breath.

As a consolation prize he got immortality out of the deal.

Still i want to see it never the less.

The odd thing is I was expecting them to show it. I thought the writers just wanted to build up the suspense so that when it was finally used everyone would be ****ting themselves, turns out that it just didn't matter, like so many other things in Bleach.
